From what I understand, it's pretty standard procedure. I think mostly they are looking for red flags. I know one of my professors, who I absolutely adored, was an HR person, and she used the personality tests. Considering that this firm that literally does nothing but hire people and place them into positions, I think it's just a supplement to their own impressions. I think in order to have a business, they must be pretty capable with knowing what exactly they are looking for.
They briefed me on this particular test when I first interviewed. From what I understand, it's used to measure motivation and attention-to-detail through logic questions. I'm not worried about it at all. I think it's more looking for key red flags and also just looking for areas that could be strengthened while working for them.
Hey gals and guys!
Since We're getting close to christmas and things can happen anytime.. Merry Christmas and Happy holidays in advance! (in case I have no time to say so)
the constant hugging, petting would slowdown the service
I love it! With all this cruddy weather we're having I have a big request and do not feel obliged in any way. A sun set with a palm tree would be lovely. Thank you
I'm sorry it takes so long.
I'm done for today! 400 cookies done Chocolate chip(vegan and gluten free), almond cut outs dipped in chocolate(dairy free), spritz, and lemon dusted with powdered sugar. ok 398 I had 2 and may have a glass of wine to wash them down
Tomorrow will be nicer here so I'm walking outside and I'm going to do some sewing. Does that count as lazy?
Have a fun evening, I'm out to do some cooking. Like @Cesar R M..... Happy Holiday's to all. I will be busy cooking the next three days. And eating out Christmas Eve.
I'd really like to go back to the days when people doing the hiring could stand on their own two feet, and just make their own honest assessment of the candidate. Not a fan of these personality tests--to me it's also invasive and uncomfortable.
Haha, I live 15 miles from the worlds largest cave! At least in Florida I'd be able to worry about sinkholes in the heat.
(for reference, this happened right down the road... http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/02/12/corvette-museum-sinkhole/5417171/)
4 days already x_x
yikes! talk about scary! people have lost their lives being buried alive or drowned when falling into these x_xI want to purchase property in Florida at some point. Though overall rare, sinkholes are scary. We experienced a sinkhole 200 yards from our home. It wasn't natural, a road construction error, they didn't backfill under the road where they dug out for new sewers. Still as my DH drove over the road and it collapsed into a sinkhole a split second after..unnerving.
I'm sorry if it came off as dissing I may have baked 400 cookies but the 2 I snuck may be the only 2 I get to have. Once the festivities get going this weekend I'm going to be busy, busy, busy I just hope the boys don't find them before SaturdayWait a minute, wait one minute here!! You just dissed @donaldtoo for all the goodies at his office, and that he should exercise after all that indulging. Yet, you baked 400 cookies for yourself?!
It's ThursdayI would love a veg day. My brain is fried this week, being stuck in some learning sessions for my new job after New Year's. I literally did not even know what day it was today, that's how fried I was.
I'm not done yet. This afternoon I'm going to do the peanut butter and chocolate ones with peanut butter chips.Thats a lot of cookies! x_x
I make something similar on Christmas Eve but Italian style with tomatoes.Yes, We always have Bacalao (a spanish dish made with fish and lots of condiments), plus stuffed Turkey and a sweetsour pork dish.
Me, I always love the Bacalao. I could eat that for months with fresh bread.

I too have this fetish for Palm Trees. Mine are droopy and deadish in their planter right now. Depressing. Wont try and depot them now. Still sad.
I'm right there with you. I had to go to a store near Pet Smart and they were having an adoption day and the boys wanted to go in and look for a new pet. I couldn't bring myself to even go in the store and look at the fish. Maybe by spring. The boys want a ferretThank you. I really miss Walt. I will have another Pup, likely next new year sometime. Things are just bejambled and I need to let him rest in peace and move onto yet another love, just not quite there yet. I'm not ready to give up on the loss vs new love concept, I have loved all my Pups over the years. Another is a destiny.
Thank you. I'm having guests both Saturday and Sunday, so many will be eaten and some will go out in goody bags then and my dh always takes a platter in the first day after Christmas. I'm sure the bottomless pits and their friends will also consume more than their fair share.Question that begs to be answered. Beyond your bottomless sons...400 cookies, where do they all go?
And certainly hope you enjoyed the wine, well deserved.
