That sounds like fun! Business or pleasure?
Possibly both. The home office for one of the companies I'm interviewing with is in Philly, and it's my top choice job, and so I asked my friend who's going to CA with me if she wanted to go up and spend the day there with me, and she said absolutely. So I think we're going regardless. I haven't been in a really long time.

Thanks, she is a special girl. I haven't ever thought about banning my pups from the furniture, none of the dogs we've ever had were diggers or did anything to damage the furniture. I figure they are just part of the family and deserve to be comfy, and like you said they know how to make themselves comfy.:)
We did the same with all of our dogs. They are family, especially when your kids leave. They are wonderful at filling the void. Did , I mention I love 3 year olds?;););)

It's just an oversized duffle bag, overstuffed!

Last night I decided to pack chestnuts since we'll have a kitchen at Saratoga, and our little Charlie Brown Christmas tree with one Mickey ornament to decorate the room.

I think this is the closest we've been to Christmas, although sometimes we go for Brian's birthday around December 3 and or the second week of January. Often it can get pretty chilly, but the forecast is showing 80° during the day and the low 60s at night. Yay! it will be really nice if that holds up.
We went to Colorado mountains for the holidays...we now live here, and brought a tiny tree with ornaments so our grandson of 3 could decorate...it was his special tree. For three he did a very good job. He still has a wonderful sense of color.

Dear Santa,
I would like a season change this year for Christmas like you gave us in
1981 where it was in the mid 70s and everyone went to Mass without
coats. Wearing shorts and riding my bicycle on Christmas Day would be
the bestest gift.
Thank you. :inlove:
Please, please for Colorado, too! I'm too old to wear shorts, but no coat would be fine!;););)

We still design formal dining rooms into homes upon request, but, they are requested less and less.
Also, with the climate down here, almost every single home we design has an outdoor living/dining/summer kitchen setup, because folks like to do a lot of entertaining outside.

Also, we're designing more and more home theaters where folks also like to entertain their guests as well as having dinner served during the movie.

Thus, formal dining rooms, and even formal living rooms, are just hardly ever requested to be included in most of our home designs, anymore.

And yes, those are all pics from homes we've designed. :)
Georgeous!
