Is there an end in sight? Really? If so thank you. Best news all day.

Yes, it is true, it does end. They stop growing upwards, they stop the shoulder spread and all of a sudden they are all grown up. The double edge sword. Then when you thought the food bills were behind you-you get to finance college that makes food bills seem like child's play.

Our evening was lovely. Everybody left stuffed. Well, everyone except the person who will only eat the turkey and the cranberry sauce (namely me. Satisfied, not stuffed).

And here is the latest Grandma trying to matchmake story...
Grandma: "I know this nice young man who says he also doesn't want to get married, but his family wants him to get married, and when I told his family about you, they kept asking me when you were going to come up and visit me because they really want him to settle down. He owns a car and he's ready to buy a house..."
Me: *drinks half a glass of wine in under three minutes*

Oy. Sometimes people just need to mind their own. It does get old.

Evey mom everywhere says where's my grandkids or when I was your age, I had 3 kids. You also have to factor in the passive aggressive attitude too: muttering under the breath, making comments about it not related to the topic.

Yep, not this Mom.

I made sure they were well educated kids, entering the world ready to take her on. If they fall in love and want to marry so be it. If not, God Bless them. I love babies, other peoples babies anyhow. They take a lot of work, total devotion of time and money. That certainly has to be an individual choice not one that other people push others into let alone guilt them into.

That's very sad. unfortunately even church records from where my grandfather was from can't be located because of WW 2.:(

In Ireland (and I assume other countries around there), pre-1900s, the births were generally noted in church records. However, what many people nowadays don't realize, is that the records were not always accurate. Sometimes they'd "approximate" the actual birth dates.

My mom and I watched the first two today. We probably would have watched all of them, but my dad wouldn't let us on the good TV, so we'll finish up tomorrow. Speaking of which, I'm not sure how, but somehow I've gotten my mother hooked on GG as well. I didn't think she'd want to watch with me, but it appears she does. Might have something to do with me being home a couple of days sick and doing nothing BUT watching that show. That might have done the trick.:joyfull:
Did you ever watch Glee?
