Good morning sort of. I cooked extra over the weekend so I'd only have to concentrate on holiday prep today. Should have known better I opened the fridge and what I had for lunch and dinner was gone:eek: After the holidays I think I need to get the boys checked out:hilarious: Any hoo the cranberry sauces are going and as soon as they're done it's on to a couple of different mac and cheese trays. I'm taking Friday off from cooking:D
time to add security locks and chains to the fridge? :hilarious:

Oh that's so sad that that was your experience...I'm so sorry! My mom's family did reunions every 5 years or so and it was sooooo nice. Everyone had a great time. But some of us lived so far away, it was the only time we got to see the family, so it made it very special. And my husband's family does get togethers twice a year and it's great. The kids play together and the grandmas and grandpas LOVE seeing all the kids...even their siblings' grandkids. It's not a one-upmanship at all....they take joy in ALL the kids.
That was our experience too. I loved seeing all the family members. It was the one time we were all together. Very good memories for me.

Woof, and oh joy. Home early today.
Just spent the latter part of the morning and early afternoon in the ER.
An ongoing situation that nobody can yet seem to give me a definitive answer on... :cyclops:
So far, over a period of time, I've had a physical exam, a sonogram, another physical exam and a CT scan today in the ER.
It's physically there and visible, but, still, nobody can tell me, definitively, what it is.
The problem is definitely annoying (l'll just say that recently there's bleeding involved)...almost as much as the fact that I have yet to get an answer.
Seems to be nothing life-threatening, thankfully.
Will call for an appointment tomorrow with an ER doc recommended surgeon.
And, we shall see... :bored:
I'm so sorry you are going through this. I hope it's nothing to worry about. Prayers for you and your family.

Maybe you can buy a Christmas pair of salt and pepper shakers at the dollar store and fill them. Then you can give them for an early present thay way they'll be on the table for both holidays. ;)
This is a wonderful idea. I've seen so great looking Holiday Salt and Pepper shakers. I'm going to the store later today. Thanks for the tip. No one will be offended.;)

Awww, you guys are so sweet! I'm still around and missing you guys, too. I have good news and bad news. Good news is my daughter and I have a Disney World trip planned for winter break! I'm so excited, so looking forward to it. The bad news is I'm STILL not divorced. My ex is going for full custody now with me only having visitation every other weekend, so the court ordered a parent evaluation, which I'm hoping will be completed early next month and go in my favor to demonstrate how crazy he is. It involves about 8-10 hours of interviews with me and my ex (separately), as well as character witnesses, of which he only listed his mom and our previous neighbors, none of our close friends who know us.

Other good news is I'm still seeing the guy I mentioned earlier and we just celebrated 8 months of being together, so I'm really happy about that. He is also still in the divorce process, but his trial is scheduled for next month, while mine isn't until next February! :banghead::banghead::banghead: However, I'm hoping that once we get the evaluation and it's favorable, my ex will not have any leverage and decide to settle out of court. I'm not that hopeful, but they say miracles can happen, right??

Anyway, I just wanted to drop a quick note and I promise I'll be back to provide more details about our trip and for sure will be posting pictures during! I love you all and hope everyone is doing well. :inlove::inlove::inlove:
Prayers for the outcome going your way. Your hubby is a major pain in the tushie. I'm glad you found a great guy.

In some ways, I wonder how much these Pixar sequels are targeted towards the kids so much as they are targeted to adults and the kids who grew up with Cars that are now adults. I think I was probably more excited for Finding Dory than any kid in my extended family was. I have probably also seen it more times than the kids in my extended family. Which really should not be discussed because it's kind of shameful. :cyclops::joyfull:

I think the same thing applies with Cars. The kids that were into the first movie are now teens and young adults. To a certain extent, I think that they are targeting Cars 3 more to that group.

But then again, Disney films have always had some darkness in them. I mean, for goodness sake, in Pinocchio, the boys are turned into donkeys and then Pinocchio and Geppeto get swallowed by a whale. I remember Sleeping Beauty and Hunchback of Notre Dame being intense when I was a kid. And Pink Elephants on parade...:cautious:
Bambi's mother dying in the forest fire...tore my heart out when I saw it. Same with the ending to Old Yeller.
