Me too. I know a lot of people skip the musicals in the beginning but we don't.

I watch it all, too. I love all the giant balloon characters that "fly" above the streets!! The marching bands are always good--love their music and precision. Also really enjoy the entertainers singing, (up on the various floats), the floats themselves, the musical scenes from the new Broadway plays, and the sensational Rockettes. (Saw the Rockettes a long time ago at Radio City Music Hall, for their Easter show--outstanding.)

With so much negative local and international news every day, it's refreshing to take a sanity break and watch a happy parade. It's very cheerful seeing the smiles of the people along the parade route, and sometimes the TV commentators are pleasant to listen to as well--as long as they don't talk too much! :p

Just an fyi for Thanksgiving night -- there's a Disney TV special on ABC. I'll give it a chance to see how it is--I used to love the Disney specials, before they turned into overt advertisements, and musical performances from people I could care less about.

But the one thing that I think I'll like about this new one is that Derek Hough is one of the headline performers. I think he is an incredibly talented dancer.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I hope it's nothing to worry about. Prayers for you and your family.
I've been thinking about you all day. I had a benign tumor on a parathyroid for over 20 years.....it took it's toll every year. When this started no one knew what the parathyroid gland did. I just got more and more tired, and my thinking got very bad. I thought I had Alzheimer's. I slept for more and more hours. I finally thought I was going to die. I had no energy. I thought I would try one more time to tell a Dr. It was my Dr. that just retired....he knew there was a problem, after many blood tests, he sent me to an endocrinologist. She identified the problem. After an MRI, the tumor was found. I had surgery, and now I have a new life. I'm saying this because I have two more benign tumors, one on my adrenal gland and one one my brain stem. As long as they don't grow, it gives me little problem. If I sleep on my back, I wake up with a bad headache. The Dr.'s are taking a wait and see. Don't give up and don't worry. Do you have access to a Mayo Clinic? I would go there, if local Dr.'s can't diagnose the problem. Some times we need a specialist. Just to tell us that we have a growth, that is affecting our system, but not deadly. Yes, it can be scary and frustrating until someone can figure it out. It took me 20 years to find out why I was going down and down. There is an answer for you, don't settle for " I don't know". Someone out there can solve your problem. @donaldtoo

Well, it's good you don't feel like you have missed out. My husband's family is huge like that...his parents both came from families with like...10-12 children, so we also have the 40 first cousins thing. We're not close with all of them, but we have a good time when we get together. I didn't even know I HAD cousins on my dad's side until I was a teenager. That was a shocker to me because we always went to my aunt's house for Thanksgiving and none of her kids nor my uncle's kids were ever there, and my dad didn't really talk to his siblings other than at Thanksgiving, so I just didn't know they had kids...my dad was more than 10 years younger than his siblings and he was over 40 when my brother and I came along, so all the cousins were grown up and had their own families by that time. Crazy! We had a reunion just before I came over here and it was so nice to get to see everyone, some I had never met and others who I hadn't seen other than at my uncle's funeral. So strange.
We never met on my dad's side. His mother was Native American, and I didn't know until I looked up his history. People are so weird about family history. I would have loved to meet my dad's side of the family, but it never happened.

Thanks!! It's nice to be back...I missed everyone here, too! We're good...just really busy. DS is struggling at school with social/emotional issues. His schoolwork is awesome, but he's still being bullied, he has no one to play with at recess, and he keeps having outbursts, so we are setting up some testing in the next few weeks to see if we can pinpoint the problem. I'm working a few nights a week most weeks and I'm probably switching choirs. So lots of up in the air stuff which I don't deal well with, being a planner. But it's nice to be back, and hopefully I'll have more time to keep up.
I'm sorry about your son, no one should be bullied. That's just horrible. I hope you can pinpoint the bully. I was bullied by my sister. This makes for a miserable life. I did get over it, I just figured she was a very unhappy person too. But no one deserves this...

Thanks, Bets! :)
I made an appointment with the ER recommended surgeon for next Thursday, so we'll see what he says.
I'm really not worried since anything malignant or life-threatening seems to have been completely ruled out.
It's just frustrating that none of the medical professionals I've seen, so far, can definitively tell me what it is. :cyclops:
Am I the first person on the the planet to have ever had this...or, am I really an alien...!!!  :hilarious: ;) :)

I dislike going to the grocery store, let alone special sales. Just not worth the savings to me. :greedy:

Good to see you on again tonight! :)
I'm on here regularly, and am still about 70 or so pages behind on this thread alone...!!! ;)

Hahaaa...!
Yea, we won't be venturing out for any shopping tomorrow or on Friday. While we used to years ago, it's just gotten too ridiculous over the years.
To those that are, have fun...! :)
