Good night all. It's time for me to call it a night. Hope to talk to you all sometime tomorrow. Hubby wants to go to Hobby Lobby to find me a craft......![]()
I'm assuming that you are kidding, but, if you're not, a bank run is when the public loses all confidence in the system and runs on the back to get their money out of the vault before the banks are forced to close leaving them with nothing. Or it could be just that someone had to run errands and had to go to the bank to make a deposit or a withdrawal. A run on the bank is a panic response. A run to the bank is just part of a chore and a 5K bank run is a mini-marathon sponsored by Bank of America. Was working on a take home test for my money and banking class. Knew one of the multiple choice answers off the top of my head. You would think because, ya know, I go to class, pay some attention in spite of the professor being extremely boring, and read the book and do the homework. Nope.
Mary Poppins. Question asks me, "What is a bank run?" and all I can think of is Mary Poppins when the bank where Mr. Banks works has a run. Well, good way to remember it at least.
So . . . I recently was informed that there will be some possible changes ahead in my (work) division. A high level executive is leaving in a few months and some (or all) of us, may or may not have jobs in the next half year or so. It just depends upon who comes in, and what that person's vision is for the department. Why does this carp always have to go down before the holidays when people are supposed to be happy?
So I'm just hanging in there for now, with the full support of all my supervisors who will advocate to find me something else, if the worst goes down, in the future. I may be doing this in due course:
Updating my resume:

And I'll note that I'm a "team player" --

And that I;m very reliable, and show up for work on time, because I have transportation --

Sympathy like and a warm hug xoxoWe will be in the 20's by weeks end and chances of snow over the weekend.
THNX for the heads up. Another reason we drive even though we get one free checked bag no matter the airline.UNITED-CONTINENTAL Airline, new funding
Discounted tickets cannot have carry on bag in overhead compartment, must fit under seat. They cannot have seat assignment until day of flight. Discount airfare will no longer count toward the elite status.
prayers and pixie dust for your ddUgh. I'm sorry. Sending good Karma your way.
Oy. Yesterday my DD learned as did her boss moments before that they were once again consolidating. So far she is 'safe' but being a pretty savvy young woman she knows they wouldn't tell them until they were called into an office while security packed their belongings and confiscated their laptops. Yes, a week before Thanksgiving.
We shall see.
Well those two jets made an X. : /

No, I'm not kidding, and the textbook definition is when many depositors withdraw their money from the bank in a short period of time. It was sort of explained in Mary Poppins, when Mr Dawes Jr. said that there was a run after the Boston Tea Party and that there had not been a run on the bank until that day when Mr. Banks brought Jane and Michael there.I'm assuming that you are kidding, but, if you're not, a bank run is when the public loses all confidence in the system and runs on the back to get their money out of the vault before the banks are forced to close leaving them with nothing. I'm amazed with all the education that you have been the recipient of that nothing like that was talked about when dealing with the great depression. A pretty significant event in world history. It was key in the story "It's a wonderful life" too!No, I'm not kidding, and the textbook definition is when many depositors withdraw their money from the bank in a short period of time. Hey, whatever works for remembering the definition
