Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
Call me old fashioned but I like brick and mortar stores. There's something fun about going out and seeing how all the stores are decorated and listening to Christmas music while shopping. As for the crowds I avoid the worst of them by shopping early in the day:)

I don't mind shopping for some Christmas stuff in the malls IF I can do it during the day when the crowd levels are small.

I spent the last two days shopping for very specific things for my DD Birthday at the end of the week. None of it overly expensive but a Pain In Tushie to find. I found all but one item today and then still had to hit Sam's.
I was Poop'd after 2 days of shopping with packed malls and stores. Kinda early for that many people.

Thanks! :)
And, cool! Hope y'all are able to visit this area someday...! We love it here...!!!
But, also, yourself, @Gabe1, and @Wrangler-Rick, have also posted many beautiful pictures from where y'all live. But, we do also have the added advantage of rarely ever having to deal with that pesky snow thing...! ;)
But, as a result, I think we were again the fastest growing metropolitan area in the nation this past year...double/edged sword, that...! ;)
I can speak from experience, we had cows across the street when we first moved out here. Now, it's full of homes. We moved to get away from all the homes, we are now hemmed in again. Hard to move anywhere when cities decide to use eminent domain. Take over open spaces and fill, fill, fill with lots of homes, strip malls. etc.

Yup , it is . I never said I wanted to live as long as my aunts, and mom....they all ended up with alzheimer's. I'm pickling my liver, instead!;)
Whatcha going to do if you keep your mind and turn your liver into something that resembles the surface of the moon. We both have to admit Bets' that we are no longer spring chickens and if Alzheimer's were going to set it, we would probably be aware of it by now. Or perhaps unaware of it... I'm not sure how that works.

Snow was a Classic that I was fine waving good-bye to. An era of Dark Rides of that type of quality and glow in the dark nightlights, so not one of my favorites. Still to rip out a dark ride a put yet another meet and greet was just ridiculous, it wasn't as if the track system didn't work.

I look at some of the Dark Rides out of Tokyo and even now Sea World-Orlando, these could be so much better. I kinda feel the same way about Pooh and Peter. Pooh should have been more the quality of Tokyo and Peter while also a classic I enjoy it could be embellished and plus'd. Guess that is why I like the Haunted Mansion so much. When they embellished and plus'd that attraction it came out even better than it was already.
That's my favorite, too. I love everything they have accomplished in that "Mansion". I ride it at least twice every trip. I don't do that for anything else.

I really loved Tangled so much more than Frozen, not that I didn't like Frozen it was more in the perfectly fine category for me and so overdone in Marketing.

It is Disappointing that so much theming went into the Tangled Potties instead of an attraction. Equally glad it didn't go into another Princess meet and greet.
I love Tangled for the music. Disney movies, has the best music.

In other news, very eventfull day.
My mother had an accident. She confused her eye drops with super glue :| (how did she, I have no idea, as the bottles are completely different). And squeezed quite a bit of glue in her eye.
Good thing I was still awake playing computer when she told me about her issue. Her eye was in VERY BAD SHAPE.
She was very stubborn and had to push her to call her doc (really why they do this? ) The doc recommended her some liquid drops to slowly let the glue drop.So I went for the medicine.. kinda annoying as one of the pharmacies closed their doors on my nose as they were closed down. Had to drive way farther....Anyway the drops Didnt work very well, my mother told me she was hurting and that she wanted to go the doc later on. She called the doc again and told me we had to wait a few (the doc was going to do surgeries at 5:00 am, so he told us to be at 4:00 in the hospital)
So we did, we drove almost all the way to the city and waited.
The doc had to use some pliers and some eye surgery tools to remove. Turns out she had some glue crystals floating around AND the glue in her eyelids were irritating her eyes even more.
So he removed them and gave different kinds of drops.
THEN I had to again be awake for english class XD
Suffice to say, I only ate and dove to my bed and just woke up 30 minutes ago :O

My mother is doing a bit better, still embarrased and angry. As she shad to pay the doc.. and we are driving this monday to go to our family vacations (first time its possible since 15 years ago, aka me, my brother, my sister and mom going somewhere).

Will post lots of photos when I return as usual.
I'm so sorry. We keep super glue in the garage, or outside. I hope she gets better and has a wonderful vacation. You seem to be getting a lot of bad breaks. Hoping the best for you and your mother.

I'm lucky my boys aren't picky eaters:) Seeing I cornered the sweet potato market we may have sweet potato pie instead of pumpkin this year or maybe both seeing pumpkin is more traditional. That's the type of tough decision I like to make:joyfull:
For a savory dish, I like roasted sweet potatoes with green peppers and onion. Sausage for those who eat it. I eat this without meat. One of my favorite meatless meals.

Bigger question.... Why would crazy glue be anywhere near eye drops? I can understand mistaking toothpaste with Preparation H or Mouth Wash with Shampoo. That one, however, has me totally bewildered.
Yes, I've caught myself before putting Benadryl on my toothbrush. Is Alzheimer's far behind? Mom went down hill really fast, no signs then bam.....she wasn't herself. It's a crazy disease, my Aunts had a slower onset, Mom she just lost it.
