I knocked out 3 gifts today with the LL Bean sale -- father-in-law, one of my brothers, and a gift for hubs. Decided to join the party, so I bought myself a new down jacket! (Credit cards are wonderful things . . . ) Oh, I was surprised that they actually discounted an item from Under Armour that I picked out for hubs -- I thought they'd only discount their L L Bean brand, but apparently not.

I wish we had time to go, I was just reading a review on it. Maybe if they still have it in March or June when we go again.

Oh Dear. It took me a few deep breathes to get past the first two sentences. She isn't the first person I've heard of that has done that with superglue. I guess what I don't get is why people would keep superglue and eye medicines in the same area of a home???? We have both but neither are remotely close to be being kept close to each other.

Thats what baffled me, when she excusing herself claimed " I was working on some of my crafts &arts projects.
MOM, you never work on these kind of stuff IN YOUR BED!!! :|
99% of the time, she works in the main dinning room table.
She also as a crafts and arts table in her room. No excuses to have superglue in her bed side furniture next to medicine!

That's insane, I hope you make sure her eye drops are in a seperate location when you get back and her eye doesn't bother her on vacation. Prayers and pixie dust

I honestly CANT.
I have my grandmah to worry about, now my mother? then you enter the mess with my 2 jobs x_x
Aint easy!
I do not have eyes nor time to be behind her all the time x_x
Plus she randomly goes to work on crafts when she cant sleep. Thus I cant be checking on her 24/7

Bigger question.... Why would crazy glue be anywhere near eye drops? I can understand mistaking toothpaste with Preparation H or Mouth Wash with Shampoo. That one, however, has me totally bewildered.

Same, her answer still baffles me. " I was working on art and crafts before going to bed". GEEE MOM...


I inmediately moved the glue to the art and crafts.

She likes to watch TV while she works. Since my mother moved to the house, the TV was moved to another room which has no space to work on art and crafts.. hence why she is preferring to work on her bedroom now.

O M G . . . my jaw dropped reading what happened to your mom. I'm glad she was able to finally get some medical assistance for her eyes. What an awful story. I hope she'll be better today.

She is way better today, she still complains of feeling "stuff". Which is no surprise. The glue kinda scratched her eyeball delicate skin.
Its going to take up to 48 hours for that to stop, then she needs to keep putting drops to prevent infection.

Will do, we're leaving tomorrow to drive to a bigger town to take the plane.
No idea why this week the direct planes from my town are 2X the price.

But c'est la vie!

5 hours of driving in very sinuous and mountain roads with huge cliffs with single lanes.. not a fan.
At least its way better.. before we used to take 9 hours as there was no highways on most of the road. (imagine having to drive 600Km of pure turns over high mountains along with heavy trucks/buses in single lane roads(1/1 roads).

I do not like driving! :O

So true. I've seen a few of the 'you have got to be kidding me' things my Mom has done since my Dad passed.

I was really disappointed when they removed the Snow White's Scary Adventures with the Princess meet and greet. I felt they should have redone the ride as a Tangled dark ride. I listened to an interview with Tony Baxter (Disney Imagineer) a year or so ago and he talked about how he thought Tangled was a better movie than Frozen as well, and lamented use of Tangled for bathrooms instead of an attraction. This made him my favorite imagineer (plus he is responsible for Big Thunder).

Snow was a Classic that I was fine waving good-bye to. An era of Dark Rides of that type of quality and glow in the dark nightlights, so not one of my favorites. Still to rip out a dark ride a put yet another meet and greet was just ridiculous, it wasn't as if the track system didn't work.

I look at some of the Dark Rides out of Tokyo and even now Sea World-Orlando, these could be so much better. I kinda feel the same way about Pooh and Peter. Pooh should have been more the quality of Tokyo and Peter while also a classic I enjoy it could be embellished and plus'd. Guess that is why I like the Haunted Mansion so much. When they embellished and plus'd that attraction it came out even better than it was already.
