I'm so proud of my dh he and the boys got the kitchen done so I was able to start cooking as soon as I got home. We're going to be eating a lot of soup and stew this week. The hot and sour is done, so is the minestrone(done in the pressure cooker and the chicken rice is on the stove(or at least the stock for it is going)

What I said was a little misleading. Sorry, I didn't intend it to be. The VA cemetery in the immediate area that we all live is full-up. There are others, larger and newer in NC, but, not close by to the family. I know it doesn't really matter because who knows if they will always stay in the area anyway. My parents are buried why up near the Canadian border in New York State. But, the girls wanted to feel that they could easily visit if the mood struck them. So, I won't really care one way or the other, after the fact.That is kind. And in the end you are right, that chapter of history will not change for your girls. Ultimately you guys are Mom and Dad to them, all that matters.
But what is up with Veterans Cemeteries being full? We as a Nation continue to make new veterans so wouldn't one think we could continue to make new Veteran Cemeteries? The 'things' we are not aware of is annoying and we only become informed by chance.
My Dad is not resting close in Illinois, especially from where he lived. It is South, not Central Illinois but far-more south and west to be considered N. IL or Chicagoland. There was a military portion of the funeral service and my Mom has his Flag, come to think of it, not sure where she put that

I have a confession... I didn't lie, I just misread the thermometer. It actually got to 53 degrees. However, that is still shorts weather in my world, so when it gets in the mid 40's and windy, I break out the long pants. Sadly, I'm there most of the time through January and February.
