So it looks like my friend going with me to DL will have to take an online class while we're there.

I might just tell her on our first day there to knock out her class work for that week and meet me in DTD later for dinner and drinks. Since our plan for day 1 was DTD anyway.

And then I go spend a few hours in the parks until she can meet me.

Maybe she can do some of it on the plane too.

My first class got cancelled today, and I was already here when it got cancelled. So I thought, "Well, what if I go get my cap and gown?"

I now have my cap and gown, a souvenir tassel, and a frame for that very expensive piece of paper that I am about to receive. Because I feel like that very expensive piece of paper should be framed.

And a teddy bear with a cap and my school's name. And an Alum mug. And an alum cling for my car. :greedy:

My Bachelor's degree is in a box in the basement, and I was going to frame my master's degree. I bought a frame and everything, but it hasn't happened yet. It's been almost 10 years now for that master's degree. On the flip side I have a lot of nice Disney art work on the walls that seemed to get framed and hung right away.....:)

This is definitely true. However, unless they win the World Series, there will be many people who will criticize. Coming from a 2 team city, the White Sox fans especially will have a field day, if the Cubs end up losing to the Indians.

True. Still I don't concern myself with all that. It has been a very enjoyable season. :inlove:

Last Man Standing reminds me so much of 8 Simple Rules for Dating my Teenage Daughter.
I just recently discovered that program. I love it. Tim Allen has matured so much as an actor. The comedy is sophisticated and really funny. I have especially enjoyed when they have incorporated the people from "Home Improvement" on it. So far I have seen Al, Randy and Jill and so many jokes around how familiar they look and an occasional Tool Time grunt or mention of more power. What a contrast though... three girls instead of three boys. They made him very quick witted, but, in this case is a little wiser and less accident prone. Thank goodness it is in rerun already so I haven't really missed the earlier episodes.

It's on Hallmark channel every weekday evening from 6pm to 9pm. in rerun. It is preceded by 3 hours of Home Improvement. It doesn't take too long before you have seen the entire series of both. Only takes about 3 days to go through an entire season.

I'll have to remember that. Thanks. Here it is on locally 8-9 Central on local WGN station.
