I meant to share these photos yesterday they were from a walk my dog and j took this weekend.

A cornfield, there was a cat mousing but I don't think I got him in the picture and luckily Kapono didn't see the cat!

We also saw quite a few horses out, we usually only see one. My dog enjoyed watching them.

After our walk we had homemade beer cheese soup and fresh pretzel bread. We picked up the bread at the farmers market earlier in the day. The soup had bacon and wild rice in it.

Loved your dinner.

So today I rented Guardians of the Galaxy because my brother wanted to see it. We put it on this morning and watched it. Then tonight, my brother says to me, "Oh, I fell asleep during the movie."

Rental is still good, so we will watch again tomorrow.

Why would you want an ex-boyfriend (or girlfriend) giving a toast for (or even being invited to) the wedding? That has BIG MISTAKE written all over it!!! o_O

I guess that all depends on the situation. My prom date and boyfriend...well we all went our ways as we went off to college. No fight, just life. Still good friends. As a couple years went bye he started dating a friend of mine and we all still hung together and I had moved on long ago too. We were all very close, still are best friends. I stood up to their wedding. So many decades. My children were willed to them when they were minors, we shared the same values of family and education etc back when we were bringing up kids. My son and theirs actually attended the same college a year apart.

Most of our kids off to college and conversation goes...my dear friend comments that her husband still has my prom garter hanging in their bedroom. I'm stunned. Her husband is stunned. (he thought it was her wedding garter, silly man you tossed that at the reception.) It is still a running joke.

I guess it all depends on how you move on and why.

My mother tried to get me to eat sweet potatoes as a baby. I made it very clear early on I did not like them.

I will eat just about anything else before I eat sweet potatoes. Even when they are prepared in different ways, they still have that disgusting underlying sweet potato taste. I even tried sweet potato fries and found them icky. I cannot think of a single food for which I find more icky than sweet potatoes.

I don't like sweet potato fries either. Actually like even less that sweet potatoes cooked traditionally, if that is possible.

Hubby, a friend of ours, and I went to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum today and it was a gorgeous day. The weather was in the low 60's and sunny. The trees weren't as colorful as I would have hoped but there was some and the fall decor was neat. They have scarecrows decorated by members and staff, some were cute and some a little scary. I'll let you decide on which were cute and scary. So here are a few pictures from our day. There were some "Disney" touches too.

There was a cute pumpkin house, I would have loved this as a kid. It would have made a great playhouse.

I just hope these companies are not again skimming on maintenance.
I still remember the horrible DC10 accident from American Airlines that was filmed and seen by thousands of people.
the plane engine on the right wing detached on takeoff, rolled from top and ripped most of the wing.. the plane tanked badly to one side and crashed terribly.
They found that both Continental , American airlines and another airline were using non approved and cheaper methods to dismount engines using a forklift.. cracking the "pylons" that hold the engines on the wing.
^^^^^That's the main reason I hate flying commercial

I've never heard of either. When I searched it said it was a New England and Northeast stores. Also said some other major stores throughout the US. I'll have to take a look. I'm curious enough to try if I can find. Maybe I wouldn't hate Sage if the balance was better (far less Sage) Do you add any veggies like celery or onion? How much seasoning?

I really only love homemade stuffing but every once in awhile when I just need a little to stuff a roast or pork chop I will do a ready made version and doc it up a little.

Yes, it most likely is more of a New England regional, market distribution network. (However, Amazon also sells it! Ha! Is there anything out there that Amazon doesn't sell these days?! ;)) I love this stuffing because it's savory, but not in any way, overpowering. Turkey gravy over it is also a delish tip!! :hungry: :hungry:

To answer your veggie question, yes, you do add some diced onion and celery (you saute it first for a few minutes in a little butter, in a small saucepan), and add it to the stuffing mix, (along with the amount of water it says on the package mix.) I don't measure the extra seasoning--it's probably about 2 teaspoons, at the most. Funny, my mother never measured that either--she used to just shake some in there. :)

Thank you. :inlove: What a sweet Pup.

My DD and I got our Pup fix when we went to ScareCrow Fest. They actually said Pups welcome! We asked many a person if we could pet their pup. I came across a Dudley Retriever and had heard of them but never met one.

Some kennel associations accept them into pure bred status, some do not and believe they are flawed genetically lab retrievers. I can understand the argument but this pup was beyond sweet and well behaved.

OMG -- PRECIOUS!!!!! Doesn't look "flawed" to me!!
