Can I tell you how glad I am that I'm not down there at WDW now??!! It's a rare thing for me to say that on a normal work day here (although, I'm taking off today for a 4-day Columbus Day holiday weekend!!), but seriously, I would hate to be there during all this.

Let's hope safety to all guests and hard-working CMs. I've been watching the early morning news for a few hours now, and multiple counties down there are bracing for high winds and water. Prayers to all.

Amen. All parks open at 8 am and 7 for AK tomorrow, Springs is opening today at 5pm today for resort guests and they are trying to see if they can gather enough CMs to open the MK or most of it also this evening.

@Gabe1 , I meant to mention yesterday, that I saw a car with an Illinois license plate on it, going down 93S toward Boston. Saw it from my bus window. I've never seen an Illinois license plate before; and for some reason, I found it very exciting. (I've gotta get out more . . . )

Wow. That surprises me. So many Illinois residents and Boston area isn't small, a destination unto itself. Maybe my fellow Illinoisans are like me, over 3 hours and I fly?

The girls spent a good part of the day helping their friend and her family clean up around their property.
Nothing major, just downed limbs, branches, debris stuff.
They're heading to Sarasota on the gulf side for a coupla' days to enjoy some beach time.

Nice. At least they are making some lemonade out of the situation. Beach certainly no cruise or likely what they'd use their vacation time on but at least something nice to enjoy.

Don't know for sure, but, youngest is still a floater, so that was probably it.
She's not yet on the same level as oldest.

We will be having turkey, stuffing, veg, gravy, 10 lbs of mashed potatoes ... pretty much the same thing y'all will eat next month. Minus the marshmallow/sweet potato casserole thingy. We don't do that.
