There were various Uber drivers that showed up at resorts while we were there. When we checked out of our resort, we waited that evening for my friend's husband to pick us up from CBR for a couple of hours and there were 3 different uber drivers that pulled up outside where the luggage check is to either pick people up or drop them off. No one ever said anything or made the uber drivers leave. There were also a few outside of the Poly while we waited one night. So I don't think it's necessarily who they "allow". I mean, the number of people who rent cars, or drive, or have family or friends who come pick them up, it would be kind of hard to say you can only use Mears. That would mean no one could drive their own car anymore. DH wouldn't use uber at all, but is there a way to tell an uber driver from just any person driving their own car?
My hubby won't use Uber, either. He is very cautious.

Prayers and pixie dust for them
Well, both DDs are currently in Epcot for F&W.
They had planned a cruise with members of their workout group about 6 months ago.
They had planned this day at Disney and then the cruise was supposed to depart tomorrow morning, but, apparently has only been delayed by a day. They are staying at a friend (the one we met up with in Epcot after the Princess 5K) from the groups house that lives in Orlando.
As a result of Matthew they will be hunkering down at her place tomorrow, as well, and then are scheduled to cruise one day late on Saturday morning. The cruise will be cut short by that one day. They have each been given vouchers to use on the cruise as a result.
They face timed me earlier this morning as they were entering Epcot. It was pretty funny...!!! :hilarious:
Stay safe my silly dears...!!!!! :inlove:
I hope they stay safe. And enjoy the cruise.

I know; I'm having trust issues with them right now. My mom needs a new phone, and she's had a Samsung the past three years and really likes it. She wants another Samsung (and needs something under $200 since we're on pay as you go)...but I'm definitely wary of them given the battery issues. Thinking maybe she should get an LG or Motorola phone instead just to be safe.
Im pretty sure the EDGE series havent had battery problems.
the NOTE 7 has a non interchangeable custom battery.

I still find super weird that the chinese model never had issues!

We're going for a midrange Android smartphone. She does use and need the smartphone functions. I've been looking at unlocked phones elsewhere to see prices for unlocked phones. If it weren't for the battery issue, a Samsung phone would be perfect, but the history just makes me wary.
Mine is a smart phone and i can take the battery in and out. They also had some models with more functions. Just trying to save you a few $$$$ But only you know what you need

Good for you. I hope you stay safe, with the coming storm.
The storm is going to do a loopdy loop out in the ocean. As of now it won't come anywhere near me and none of my friends or family down the shore are going to be here on my nice quiet weekend. Just wish my dh didn't have to work. he went from getting extra time off to working extra in about 2 hours because some of the people he works with are going south.

The whole loopy loop is insane!. I dont think we've ever seen one do such kind of loops.
Nicole is now an hurricane btw.
That must be the reason why Matthew will do the merry go around.

I know, but it still makes me kind of wary. We're looking at the J series, which is a lower end model, but we've had good experiences with lower end Samsung phones.

I tried to talk my mom into getting the same phone I have and she wouldn't go for it. Well, considering she has no idea what she's doing with it, that may be why...:hilarious:

Some of my Florida friends have updated Facebook to show where they are. One family is staying put with their relatives coming and them all hunkering down together. One family evacuated with their dogs to a hotel. Relatives in SC are staying put except for the cousin who had to go to northern SC. Hopefully for them and millions of others, this storm won't cause too much damage.
