My DS had the Candy Corn ice cream which he thought tasted like vanilla. He doesn't like actual candy corn so he was appalled when he reached the candy at the bottom of the cone, an unwelcomed surprise.

I thought it was a little bit different than vanilla but maybe it was just vanilla. I would have liked the candy corn on top instead of on the bottom, it was frozen at the bottom. Overall it was quite a sugar rush. I don't think I'd get it again but it was nice to try once.

Good morning it's raining and I have a family function I don't want to go to today. I want to see everybody but we'll be stuck inside and the kids will get bored and pesky. I'm going to bring some board games hoping they'll play them.

Hope it went well.:)

For us it always depended on which side of the family the family function was with. Some were fun others were a great example of dysfunctional. On the one side we always tried to limit attendance to once, maybe twice a year...one needs time to recover and regroup. ;)

Same here. My dad's side of the family is fine, and for the most part, I enjoy their company. My mom's side of the family, save a few exceptions, is just an exhausting bunch of people. I'm good with seeing them once a year and being done with them. We see individual family members more than that, but once a year is all I can handle being with all of them. Last time, my mom and I just came home, looked at each other, and then went straight for the wine without saying a word.

Now it's a DVC members lounge. A very nice lounge with a view and free soda, but still.

We get to use the Siemens VIP Lounge in Space Ship Earth. It is awesome. A nice perk. The rooms are beautiful filled with high end furnishings, lamps and kitchen with things like soda to coffee. There is also a large multi purpose room for meetings and events. The windows overlook the center of Future World and the fountain, fun to people watch. I'm not as much of a fan of the Chase Lounge now in the World Showcase. Lining up for a long time for a free beverage in OK but pretty make shift...never saw it during F&W without a queue. I liked it better for that reason in the Festival Center.

For a while Military Shades of Green were also allowed access but I think-think! that is no longer the case-I could be wrong there.

Wine is a savior when we visit my inlaw side of the family. Beer for 2 actually. Nobody in my household has ever wanted to go to any events. I have one BIL that is just an awesome man, a clone of his Dad who was my buddy, he passed long ago now, other than that its nutsville.

I wish! He said we'd stay and help with clean up. I really do like everybody who's going but I wish the weather would be nicer so the kids would have more to do. I'm thinking maybe bringing a couple of Disney movies might keep them from going nuts.

Your kids are a little young yet but long ago mine were excused from attending most. Once they work etc., it is much easier to say they had other commitments. I have two SIL that are married to my two BILs. It made for a strange dynamic since the 4 of them moved as a unit and all decisions were made by them, the majority. It made things difficult always and just outright strange. My DD always wondered about the DNA of those 5 cousins, 2 from one BIL, 3 from another BIL with Sisters as the Moms. Figured they are likely all linked at the hip as they all carry the same genetics lol.

@brifraz Yes I am an O's fan. Watched the game this afternoon. I have a class Tuesday evening and I'm probably going to go insane during the class not being able to watch the game.

I hang out on this thread. :)
