Happy 45th Birthday to Walt Disney World!

If you were down there this weekend you could enjoy a 45th Anniversary $12.29 hotdog.

Chicken Dog (cause they are more healthy ) topped with Hash Browns, Shredded Cheddar, Bacon, Fried Onion Straws, and a Chipolte Ranch Drizzle. :hungover: I'd be so sick. Wonder how many follow that Dog up with a spin on the Tea Cups?

Macs are wonderful lovely to use computers. However, there is a little thing called price. I bought mine on Black Friday 2010 and it was still 1750 plus 50 more for Word/Excel. And they have gone up in price in the years since. But my computer is working fine....not as fast as a brand new one. Which I should go to a Mac store but they probably won't do anything for me.

Of course when I get another one, the Pro is out. The Air is cheaper - same with the desktop.
See, I'm not willing to pay that much for a computer, and even if I were, the Surface Book does a heck of a lot more.

I know! What's the matter with these people--don't they enjoy waking up in the dark, like you and me?! :p
I love this time of day! No traffic, no noise and I get myself organized. Same with Disney up early rope drop get the check list done and enjoy the rest of my day!
That's when I get some of my best sleep. :D

@Cesar R M , I'm enjoying your TR!! The pictures are great. (I particularly liked the photos in Ft. Lauderdale--that wooden bridge for runners was very attractive. It's also better for runners to have a little spring under them, versus them running on hard pavement, for example.)

Too bad you had that one hiccup from the check-in person (while you were in the Uber car) when trying to get to the cruise ship. That whole situation was strange. Uber and taxis are very common, and it's baffling about the response received there. Anyway, I'm glad that you and your mom finally got on board the ship. Looks like a nice ship (even if you mentioned it wasn't quite as nice as the Disney ships), and the weather looked pleasant.

Looking forward to reading more! :)

I'm nervous about Disney creating their own version of Uber and Vans in addition to their buses. I have this fear of outragous pricing replacing the pretty reasonable prices of Uber. Uber now is showing all prices before you order an Uber in Orlando. My fear of Disney not allowing Uber to pick up at resorts or using their drop off lanes through the toll areas. We used Uber multiple times our last trip like going to Kona for breakfast at 8am. $5 and I didn't have to deal with Bus and Monorail and we were there in minutes. At best we'd spend $15 a day on Uber and we didn't do that everyday, it was cheaper than a car and we were dropped off very close to the parks not way off in the parking lots. We used it for Universal and it was so cheap and got to pick our times. It is a cheaper way for us than renting a car, hope Disney just leaves it alone.

My DD bought hers in 2011 or 2012 and I think through the University it was about $1300 which is what her laptop was the year before that was rated well but a piece of garbage. With her Mac it came loaded with programs because it was through the University, a package. I had other phones before my iPhone I don't think I'll be buying anything else for a while. Won't say never cause tech leaders tend to change. Right now after seeing all the phones being recalled shortly after launch with a competitor 'cause they were catching fire and melting I'm not sure any of them will make me switch yet but they are a boatload of money.

See, I'm not willing to pay that much for a computer, and even if I were, the Surface Book does a heck of a lot more.

My son has a Surface as his work computer with a docking station in his office. Then he can use his regular monitor and keyboard. He also had a keyboard for travel and home use. He is a big fan of his Surface but it did take some time to convert over as things were very different than his PC in his office and the iPad for travel.

Forget what brand my DD has for her work laptop but in the office it took slams into a docking station and hooks upto 2 or 3 monitors if she wants. When she works out of her Home vs Office it stills allows her to use the laptop and monitor. But 2 new laptops in a year isn't screaming reliability.

Replaced under warranty? Because if it died in less than a year, it should have been replaced under warranty. My mom had to have her iPad replaced under warranty as well; it happens.

I have the lower end Surface, which was $700 for the 128 gb model, the keyboard, and pen with my student discount. No desire for an iPad, although I've been thinking about replacing my small Android tablet since it was cheap and now only good for Netflix and reading. I love my Surface, and if I could get it to stop randomly hibernating, all would be well. I have one professor that has us turn in her homework on Blackboard. She has us do problems that involve math, so most people have to do the problems on paper and then type them up, which is really tedious. I just do the problems on my Surface with its pen and upload them. No typing them out. Makes homework (and life) SO much easier. If a professor uses Powerpoint and lets us have their slides, I run the PowerPoint at the same time the professor does and scribble notes on the slides, and later I study the PowerPoint.

Macs...I refuse. Nope, nope, nope. It seems to me that Apple tends to get behind in some ways. The Macs and iPads, to me, are very behind PCs, and not just the Surfaces either. I laugh at the commercial for the iPad pro where it says they can write with a pen and have a keyboard. So basically, they finally caught up to Windows tablets. The iPhones being another thing. They're finally water resistant. Whelp, other phone companies have had these for several years now. Apple just seems short on innovation lately. You're paying for quality, but in those prices, you're also paying for the social status if owning an Apple product. Overpriced and behind on the times? No thanks.

The hot dog doesn't sound too bad to me, but if I was there I'd rather be at Epcot for Food and Wine. :)

I actually like candy corn. I like to mix candy corn and peanuts together, it is a good sweet and salty mix. I had the candy corn ice cream at MK last week and it was delicious, there were candy corns at the bottom. Like I said it was delicious but then when I stopped eating it all of a sudden I felt sick, too much sugar at one time I guess. I would still get it again but I would share it instead of getting my own.

It's okay. If I'm going to have the calories from candy, though, there are other candies I like better.

I know there are people who really, really hate it, though.
