I'm home too, just haven't been on. Dealing with my brother's laptop (it was a cheap one that's managed to last four years, but he probably needs a new one) then I had a glass of wine, and then I thought it would be a good idea to work out. My intentions were good at least.Very quiet on here tonight....maybe I'm the only one home. Hope you are all having fun! I think it will end up being an early night for me.
No you're not.Hahaaa...!!!
I sowwy...!
No, stupid Windows on my work computer decided while I was working was a good time to start the update. This was after I got here and it tried to update when I turned it on, and I had to abort the update because it got stuck. And an automated HR campaign we were doing this morning didn't work because of technology.
I want wine.
Well, I don't have administrator status on this computer, so not much I can do...but I lost about two hours because of this stupid computer.
Yea, the latest Window update was a particularly long one. I don't remember any that were quite that long in the past. Worst part is that I don't see any significant change to anything at all.
Yes, it has been rather frustrating. It needs to ask you before installing updates instead of insisting. I'll probably go up and find my tablet in hibernate...again.I'm not amused. The last few updates have come without any permission on my part, just bam in the midst of what I was doing. The one that placed the new version went fairly well, no real differences or major issues. The fixes and patches that came this week in form of an update is another story. It has really messed up my laptop from petty to mega and I was able to fix a few and a couple others my DD and I are at a loss to fix. Mind you until this update everything was fine.
It turned off so many settings, as I found I was able to reset. The thing I was left with is the need to reboot multiple times a day. When I close my laptop it will not reconnect to the internet even though the setting instruct to do so without rebooting. If I run the laptop off the battery after reboot everything is fine. If I plug laptop in so it isn't running off of battery the screen goes black. The only solution I have found for the black screen is to reboot while plugged in. *not happy* Next laptop will be an Apple product.
No you're not.
Will be at Disney World from Wednesday to Monday. Want any photos???
It was homecoming here. The only time of the year the high school, middle school and alumni band play together.
I have so much respect for you teaching that obnoxious age group. I'm convinced every human being between ages 12 and 15 loses their mind. Some of them actually get their minds back.
I really enjoy flying. I really hate distant driving. However, take-off and landing, so not a fan-more the take off. Still the overall experience I really do enjoy.
I'm back home. Lovely dinner. Now propped up in my beddie bye pretending to Ketchup.

That being said, I'm not ever going to be frustrated enough to get a Mac.
I actually preferred the Solarium myself. The pool deck looks lovely. I think I could handle relaxing in those chairs!
Thats something that really annoyed me of Windows. They pretty much merged the Forced updates of a phone and made you unable to reject the patches.I'm not amused. Hey, at least they dont charge you for the updates.. unlike apple cough cough...Guess I'm willing to trade off between which system seems to have their act together which decade. Obviously this one has totally decided to force whatever they wish whenever they want despite the bugs. Not a fan.
I should have worked out too, I just wasn't feeling it. Wine sounds good though!
I'm not. As good as I am with Windows, Macs are Greek to me. I haven't had to regularly use one since elementary school, and in college, I couldn't even get a PowerPoint started on one. I've grown up with Windows, so even though Microsoft screws up sometimes, it's what I'm used to. Plus, I'm so familiar with Windows that I've got it utilized fully. Got OneDrive, which syncs my files in between my laptop and Surface, and I can login on a school computer to retrieve files. No flash drives. My Surface is wonderful for taking notes since you can write with a pen. And for signing documents; I can sign them before I even print them. Macs just confuse me. If I sat down with one, I could probably figure it out, but there's a fine line between "I could" and "I actually want to..." .Guess I'm willing to trade off between which system seems to have their act together which decade. Obviously this one has totally decided to force whatever they wish whenever they want despite the bugs. Not a fan.
