I never used or even had a pin with my chip encrusted credit card. All I did was sign my name just like always and it has been the same thing here. Locally, or in the states, I use my debit card most of the time. That one doesn't have a chip but I do have to use a pin number and always have. So, I still don't see what the advantage is. There must be some important other point that I am missing about it.
Its as Starwarsgirl has said
If I steal your card it has your signature on the back. Until the card is deactivated all I have to do is forge your signature to make a purchase. If you are chip and pin then to make a purchase with your card I have to guess your 4digit pin code. As for online purchases then that is a whole other can of worms.

I'm so glad to hear that. Keep busy, get away, to distract yourselves. Do something new. It might just help. I was told from a grief counselor, to give myself 10 minutes a day to grieve. Punch a pillow, cry your eyes out. Say every 4 letter word, think of snow. And then put it away. You can repeat each day until you are finished with the grieving process. This worked wonders for me. I admit, it was hard the first few days. But slowly it got better.

Nothing new.

We didn't do online checking. Room ready at 930am. Best building close to lobby and quiet pool all without an upgrade. Soarin a 5 minute wait. Ate like little piglets at Garden Grill after several hours at the MK. Fading fast 45 minutes sleep and 'rested' on plane but have pretty much been up for 46 hours, adrenaline is funny thing.

He was pretty awesome. My folks told me they saw him perform at a small dance hall in South Central Texas back in the mid 50's when he was just getting started. :)

That must have been really something. I can't even imagine what it would be like to have seen Johnny Cash perform "live". And the thought of seeing him back in the 50s, like your parents did, made it even more special. (Before all the media hype like there is in today's world. Just the man, his voice, and his guitar . . . heaven.)

Thank you guys so much for your warm hugs. You guys are the best and why I love this thread so much.

My sad news is just too raw to go into at the moment as I keep loosing it. Been loosing myself in Trip Reports to keep myself focused on something else. It has just hit us very hard. But wanted to let you all know how much your support and kindness is appreciated and is helping me through this.
Walt was a member of your family, and therefore a member of THIS family. Take the time you need to grieve. We'll be here.

That's horrible! Way too much pressure for a middle school kid. I like that everything is still available in my ds' building.
It's a lot of pressure for some kids, yes. My DD is kind of a worry wort, so for her, it's a bit scary. For most kids, they take it in stride and aren't really worried about it. It's not on their radar. It's only for the kids that are really serious about school who feel so much pressure, and they are the ones who really have nothing to worry about because they work hard and will get into a good school anyway. We had a discussion today about what makes it seem so scary and she asked me if I was scared about going to high school when I was her age, and I said yes and explained what made it seem so scary to me. I think she started to feel a bit better about it. Boiling a frog.
