Well, the first day of school went pretty well. It was nice to see the kids I had last year and good to see the new kids too. I'm pretty tired tonight though and already looking forward to the weekend! I did have an icky experience though, as I was walking into work I looked up and there were four bats hanging from the overhang. I do not like bats so it was and eeek! moment!:eek:Another teacher was with me and she freaked out too. We saw our superintendent in the hallway and told him about it since one of our English teachers found a snake in her room yesterday and he disposed of it and to us that makes him and expert at critter control. Anyway, he said he knew about the bats and our custodial crew is working on relocating them but they keep coming back. Ewe.....:cautious:

It's cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm freezing and shivering in my fleece Minnie jammies this morning! I think I may have done my work out this morning just to warm up! Somebody please send me some heat. Thank you.

Right now here it's 87 with a heat index of 95.
Today we had a high of 96 with a heat index of 102. I think we can spare sending a little heat up your way. ;)

That's exactly what I do. I don't mind eating alone either--done it many times. But I just don't like sitting by myself at a table in a TS restaurant (not in my WDW budget anyway), so I stick with informal QS, or I'll sit at a counter/bar.
I guess, I realized that I like QS. We are from Indiana, and that's the kind of food I grew up on. Think prime time 50's. Nothing fancy.

@betty rose you should definitly go to Boma, both dinner and breakfast are good. But if it is your first time go to dinner. Or breakfast? Or dinner? Oh heck, why not both! ;):)
Our grandson's love Boma for breakfast. So we have done that. Never dinner, I would like to try it, but hubby likes "regular" food. Me too, sometimes, we were brought up on meat, bread, and potato's with one vegetable, cooked to death green beans!

Oh, my goodness snakes and bats. That is beyond scary. I hope the school can do better control of heinous critters. No wonder , you are tired. Please stay safe.

Oh carp. :grumpy: And the 11 p.m. update said Hermine will be upgraded to a hurricane. I hope you can get there and onto the ship. Did you buy the trip insurance?
Im on miami already.
No rain at all, some little clouds there and here but nothing serious.
and yes, I Got insurance but not via Royal Caribbean, but by the concentrator company DESPEGAR.
Had to wake up at 4:00am to get the 6:20am flight and guess what?
it got delayed by 1 hour and half lol.
Seriousoly, if you ever fly to mexico..avoid mexico city, its crap and they always give priority to the Aeromexico brand(which as contacts with the owners of the airport AND the government).

anyway, arrived to miami at11:30 localtime and instantly went to get into my tours.

We took one of these double decker tourist buses., first the south beach one and then the city one.The city one was kinda boring, but we could dropoff in any of the stops, we decided to try VYZCAINE museum, really worth it. wonderful gardens and antiques.
We had lunch in the cafeteria inside the house too.
once out, we decided to get on the bus again and head to get to the small "millonaires" cruise ship. (which pretty much tour on the multimillion star homes in a few of the private miami islands).

so.. back and exhaustedlol.
tomorrow we hope to get to the everglades to and then to have the rest of the day to just lay down and chill to prepare for the cruise.

I'm sorry you are having bad luck! That's ridiculous that they wouldn't help you get to your destination. Are you going to make your cruise? You had a few extra days built in, right?
I had 2 days as buffer, thankfully Im already in miami.
my cruise starts in the 3th.

As for the hurricane hermione.. she is way too high and moving upwards.
I dont think it will affect us.
unless voldemort does a move.
