I will go back to Uni for HP again when they add something new. I have never stayed at a Uni Resort so I cannot comment on that, but my experiences at Disney Resorts have always been extremely pleasant.

I was also a kid in the 90's and I agree Disney was on the ball back then. Now they seem to have lost it when it comes to new ideas. Kids who frequent WDW/DL every year have to get bored with it. I myself could not even do that. I have only been to WDW three times in my life and they were all after the age of 21. My parents were not really into vacations to amusement parks. If a child does come into my life I will not take them every year. Instead I will expose them to many different vacation spots. That way when we do go back to Disney Parks it won't be all the same things.
At our age, we go with the all in vacation. No driving, get to the destination and enjoy. We are mostly doing a cruise or Disney. Next year, we will do a cruise in the Pacific. Or fly to Vancouver and cruise to Alaska. We have always wanted to see that part of the country. Or maybe the Northeast, I would love to visit historical sights. I've always been interested in American history.

When I was a pre-teen/teen we went to Universal a couple times (before Islands of Adventure was built). It was okay, but we preferred Disney more. And now-a-days I am just more connected to Disney characters and storytelling and not so much to Universal owned characters and stories. I'm sure Universal is very nice, but I just want to stay in the bubble.
Hubby is not a person that likes change. So Disney it is for us. I'm not complaining. I watched all the Disney cartoons as a kid, and I relate to them. My brother owned the original Steamboat Willie. We watched that so many times, I couldn't count.

It's the show before that. He was a psychologist, and his wife was a school teacher. The show mainly revolved around his crazy neighbor, and his group therapy. IMHO this was 20 times better than the inn one.

I might have kinda' had a bit of a crush on Susanne Pleshette. :inlove:
Who, funnily ;) enough, was married to Tom Poston, from '01 'till his passing in'07, who played the caretaker/maintenance guy of the Inn on the second show. :)

Hi @BuddyThomas, glad to see you are back on. How are things going with the new job? Has things settled down yet? I hope it's going well for you.
Hey there. The new job is crazy busy, but I guess it's going well. Now I just have to get busy and book a trip to WDW, but my indecisiveness on when to go is killing me! Food & Wine? Holidays? Wait until next June? Ahhhhhhhh! I'm afraid I'm going to fritter away my severance before I decide. I better suck down a few glasses of wine tonight and just bite the booking bullet. ;)

Hope you are well too!

I loved her, and I had my hair cut like her's and wore contacts at the time. She was my funny role model, along with Bob. Dear Daughter said I was like Emily and Dad was like Bob. I have to agree.

I'm doing great. Until I go to the Dr. next week, ;) I always vote for food and wine. Go during the day, stroll around and enjoy the day. Not as many people during that time. And it's sunny. I love that. But, you go for what works for you. Disney is always fun!:happy: So glad you are doing well at work. Change is hard!

You can say that again. Change is so hard. This has been one crazy year. Sheesh. Yup, thinking Food and Wine might be best. I mean, knowing me, why am I even considering anything else. :) thanks for the nice thoughts.

I also love Historical places such as Gettysburg and Williamsburg. I also love visiting National landmarks like The Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls. I also plan on going on a Disney Cruise at some point in the near future.

I always feel the Disney magic. We love strolling around the hotels, and Disney Springs, and most of all Epcot. I love that lake, living in Colorado, we don't see much water. I love sitting on a bench with hubby, talking about nothing and people watching. I love sitting in the Poly listening to the Hawaiian music. If I close my eyes, I can imagine I'm in Hawaii.
That is exactly what I am talking about Bets. All of that is the special magic of WDW. I have been many other places and it is just not at those other places.

I just said something similar to my husband. You are right they don't deserve to lose their medals, they did earn those. But doesn't the US Olympic Committee pay them for the medals, maybe there should be some sort of fine leveled against that. I would have no problem if they never competed in swimming again, they don't deserve to represent us and the USA.
I agree with you although I don't think it will happen. Several months ago there was a Stanford Swimmer who was also an aspiring Olympic Swimmer that was permanently banned from swimming in US sanctioned events for raping a girl on campus. Now I understand that vandalizing a bathroom and raping someone is a totally different crime, but these 4 swimmers should at least be banned for a period of time.
