I heard that on the news tonight. Isn't it a disgrace?! And like my hubby said, if they had never lied in the first place no one probably would have known about them and their trashing of a bathroom as it seems the owner got his payment that night.

A disgrace that they would trash and wreck property, and another one that they would lie about it. Not good role models for kids at all.

And let's not forget their show of disrespect to the Olympic host country. Rio had enough issues as it was without this scandal--which turned out to be false. Just awful all around.

These 4 swimmers should get some reprimand from the United States and the Olympic Committee. I am not saying they should be striped of medals, but some sort of fine or suspension is in order. They disgraced the U.S. Olympic Team and their country. It is a damn disgrace.

No
But the rest of Universal I can skip. Most of it holds no interest for me, and I don't do coasters.
I'm the opposite. I would be more interested in the coasters. Couldn't care less about Harry Potter. But since we have Hershey Park near us and we get really good discounts on WDW APs, not particularly worried about spending money on Uni. At least not right now.

My parents considered taking us a few times, but I think because we weren't begging to go to Uni and it was such an additional expense, they weren't worried about it.

When I was a pre-teen/teen we went to Universal a couple times (before Islands of Adventure was built). It was okay, but we preferred Disney more. And now-a-days I am just more connected to Disney characters and storytelling and not so much to Universal owned characters and stories. I'm sure Universal is very nice, but I just want to stay in the bubble.
It is the atmosphere I enjoy more then anything about Disney. There rides may not be up to par with Universal's, but it is the theme of the majority of those rides I enjoy. I also identify with the Disney character way more than the ones in Uni. Like they say Disney has that magic and the times I have been there I feel it a lot.

Like I said at least for me Uni is a park that I enjoyed once and yes it was quite nice. If they add something new to HP then I may go in for a day trip while on my Disney vacation to see it. Other than that I will stick with Disney.

So, it seems I sold out my older implant processor.
Lets hope this guy isnt a fraudster.. its 1,500 USD worth of tech
and it will help me a lot to pay what I owe.
I'm so glad for you. Daughter got her identity stolen using pay pal. If you want to tell me your nearest Walmart location, we can send money through them. I know you like to keep your location unknown, and I understand that. You can pm me and we will help out.

I have only gone to city walk, and we didn't stay long, it was too hot for son-in-law, so we had to leave before I got my margarita from Jimmy Buffet's. He was the driver.

I agree with the blah blah blah about the entitlement generation quips. Yesterday I saw a man with his wife in hobby lobby buying a wedding picture frame. He was in a high end country club outfit, emblem polo and hat. When the cashier said the amount he kinda tossed the cash at her on the counter and pulled out change from his pocket and tossed bouncing the coins at her one by one as he picked them out of his palm. Just icky. Jerks in every age demographic.

Besides if it was really the entitlement generation it would be the older generation's fault for molding these young adults in that manner and if it is the entire millennial group it would be every single adults fault that had a child poor child raising skills, that is why it is funny that us older folks would say such things. Are we not the ones that invented every child gets a trophy? No scores kept in T-Ball? I was raised with no pain no gain, these kids didn't start everyone's a winner their parents did. How do we think us older folks became dubbed the Helicopter Parents?
So it is weird for older adults to be pointing out some of things that backfired that were created by us. We as a generation are the ones that can't take responsibility for the parenting style. And it leached into everything, every kid got a sticker on their homework, red pens were no longer used because they were too cruel. Yep my generation came up with all this crud.

And yes you are right, the CPs on a whole are a good group of well educated kids. Sure a few bad apples but that would likely be the same from any age group of Disney employees. Yes they are paid poorly as are most CMs. These kids are not bitter about it, they are moving on. In theory I could retire and work for Disney for extra pocket money and something to keep my mind active. Trying to raise a family on those wages would have been very rough.
I agree a million percent. Our daughter, had no car of her own, hubby charged her 5 cents a mile to drive ours. Privilege comes with a price. She learned responsibility. We weren't harsh about this, she knew she had to contribute to the gas cost, and not drive too much. This was due to the gas "shortage", in the 70's.

And I still tend to favor Disney too but I have to say I am fond of Universal and their resorts and I am more fond of Uni's transportation for guests, ease similar to Disneyland. Me I could no more visit Potterland just once, I find it beyond creative than I could only visit, Splash, Thunder or the HM just once.

My point was more to why many of our children are happy with their experience at Uni. Not all of course but I like @figmentfan423 was surprised kinda by how much my then kids were willing to have have fun and enjoy Uni. My kids were raised Disney and I can say they are not overly impressed with updated attractions at Disney that is simply slapping an IP on it and calling it new. They were kids of the 90's and early 2000's when Disney was launching something new all the time. Uni is just picking up where Disney left off.
I'm unfamiliar with UNI transportation. Do they get you from the airport. Or is it the internal transportation?

I just said something similar to my husband. You are right they don't deserve to lose their medals, they did earn those. But doesn't the US Olympic Committee pay them for the medals, maybe there should be some sort of fine leveled against that. I would have no problem if they never competed in swimming again, they don't deserve to represent us and the USA.

We are not informed about Harry Potter, and can't do coaster's. But, what I saw of City Walk, it looked like fun.

I always feel the Disney magic. We love strolling around the hotels, and Disney Springs, and most of all Epcot. I love that lake, living in Colorado, we don't see much water. I love sitting on a bench with hubby, talking about nothing and people watching. I love sitting in the Poly listening to the Hawaiian music. If I close my eyes, I can imagine I'm in Hawaii.

Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville is the only draw for me to go to Universal. But hopefully this fall the one in the Mall of America will be opening (about an hour away) so I can go there. Plus there is free parking at the MOA.
