Well the issue has to be with my laptops compatibility with this site because I am not having any other issues when I am anywhere else on the internet.
Yes, sometimes this site can be wishy-washy computerwise. Wdwmagic is the best though. Our ChitChat computer guru @Cesar R M may be able to help when he signs on if you post the issues you're having.

EDIT--I've been kicked off three times so it must not be us.

Just joined the site after getting back from my 36th Anniversary Trip with my Hubby to Disney Vero Beach Resort. Thought I'd join a Disney forum to talk more about Disney since I miss it.

Yes, for us to run the air conditioner at these temps, to 50 or lower to keep it running would damage the compressor.
Yes, maybe, but that is just wear and tear. There is nothing you are doing that will inherently damage things because of improper operation. When I lived in Vermont, I had two Air Conditioners in the entire house. In the warm weather they never shut off (the compressor, I mean) because the two just couldn't keep up, but, they did cool down the immediate area where they were. I never had a problem and I can think of nothing that would cause it to damage anything. If the temperature is lower then what you have set them for... the compressor will just shut off and only the fan will run. Why would you need to run it at 50 or below anyway. Seems like that would be time to turn on the heat. :):cold:

I'm sorry, I post only, hubby has to keep my computer running. But, things are getting much harder, for him and he minored in computer programming. Whoops, my connection went out . I hate X-finity. They are horrible.
It's not just one thing. I am having that same problem and it started right after I involuntarily switched over to Windows 10. It happens mostly on this site, but, it seems to be a problem with any discussion forum I go on. Most everything else works just fine. I have tried using Firefox and Chrome and I have problems with both, but, like I said, almost always on Discussion boards.
