She looks like walking death to me. She is so underweight. I'm thinking she has a major problem with anorexia, as well as Giada De Laurentis.

She exercises around the clock. From distance running, weight training and she also is a daily spinner. I think she burns far more calories than she takes in. That is a lot of cardio per day.

I walk everyday, usually twice and now I'm riding my bike. I can't even begin to compare my exercise routine to hers.

Hey all. Sorry I've not been on in a while. Sheesh, this new job is a lot of work. But I've seen a few shows here in NYC, and here is a brief pictorial before I collapse in bed before another 6AM wakeup - argghhhh.

A few weeks ago, I actually paid for a ticket to see CATS. Naturally Phil refused so I was on my own. In this case, Phil may have been correct. I went to a Mexican restaurant before the show, and the waiter saw me looking at my ticket and then brought me a free margarita and said "You'll need it if you're going to sit through that."

Then onto the show:

A week later, I went to see Matilda, which was a lot of fun:

And tonight I saw The Color Purple which was absolutely amazing in every way.

I am so envious, I love Boudin Sourdough bread. I remember buying a whole loaf with butter and eating the whole thing , while flying to Hawaii. Hubby still laughs about this. Next year I hope to spend time in California, just to get Boudin bread. I may bring several loaves home, and put in the freezer. I can't resist the stuff!

I've owned my own business for many years and have received many unique gifts over the years. Boudin was one of them. (as was a crate of Vidalia onions every year.) I love the bread too and laughed at you eating the entire loaf. I would do the same. Decades ago Ohare use to sell the Sourdough bread.

I'm going to have you mail ordering all your food so you don't have to go grocery shopping soon.

Yep, I bought myself that brand new 'Stang GT back in '85. One fun car! :)
But, although it probably won't be anything like this Lambo I was behind on my way home from work this evening, I still have hopes for another fun ride at some point...! ;)

Oddly for me my idea of a dream fun ride is a Jeep Wrangler. So not practical yet I want one and I'd prefer a nice older one over the newer models because of the engine switch. I don't know what the draw is but I've wanted one for a long time.

After reading about bag check at the Magic Kingdom, I really don't think I want to leave the park, and take a midday break. The entire process is too involved, and takes way too much time. It's easier to just build in some rest time for myself in the Magic Kingdom.

Well you are getting ours too. We were to get some rain over the last 3 days. Not a drop since last week when it flooded everything.

Bag check is better after peak opening hours. Bad again for a park with EMHs again. The news today of adding more bag checks should help somewhat.

My Mom 81 is in that borderline diabetic range. Her Mom passed from pancreatic cancer. I think at 84. My Mom's biggest issue is she sits a lot. I'd like to get her a Fitbit so she can see how often she reaches the 10,000 steps. But she'd either clunk me in the head with it or if she didn't like the readouts she'd give it back to me lol. For her age she always had a nice shape. Now more that short barrel look. I guess at this age she gets to decide what she is or is not going to do.

Instead of a Fitbit for your mom, how about something more low key/low tech like an ankle pedometer? Maybe she might be interested in one of those. Just a thought . . .

As you might know, he grew up about 20 minutes from me and went to my high school's rival. A friend of mine from high school actually has met him and my friend is a swimmer and trained where Michael Phelps trained. According to my friend, he definitely could be a hot head and stubborn, but when my friend asked him to do an interview for our high school's paper, he was very nice about it. He even let my friend take a picture with him for the paper and gave him some excellent advice about being an athlete.

Actually, I didn't know he was from your area. That's nice to hear that he was gracious about the interview request for the high school's newspaper.

Yes I am aware of his personal accomplishments as a competitive swimmer. And yeah he has had his share of personal issues. It is his legal troubles and arrests I have more of an issue with than his personal life. It is not like the man didn't have enough money to hire a driver or take a taxi. Once and you'd think he'd learn after his heartfelt apology to the press but then to repeat it again at age 29, just under 2 years ago. As a Mom of competitive swimmers I am in awe of his professional abilities. He is an awesome swimmer. Life choices not so awesome.

Yes, I agree. (I was trying to soften the words in my post using using the phrase, personal issues, assuming most people could read between the lines. ;) ) At 31, I hope that both his athletic and private life move forward in a positive manner.

Hi Buddy! Thanks for stopping by. And wow -- talk about a marathon of plays!! I looked at the Cats photo, and man, that brought back memories. Think it was maybe 20 years ago when a friend and I saw it over at the Winter Garden Theater on Broadway. I was amazed at how the theater was so decked out inside, and I loved the play. (Note: One of my brothers saw Cats over in London years prior to that, and he, also, thought it was great. As luck would have it, he was sitting next to one of the cast members on his flight over to London, and she helped him secure a ticket to the show.)

Hee hee . . . guys and cars. ;) I know I'm practical and boring, but why do people buy an expensive vehicle noted for speed--that they can't completely enjoy--when there are posted speed limits everywhere, and they could get a ticket for speeding? Just recently, I saw on the local news about a guy in a Lambo that got pulled over by a trooper on a NH highway for excessive speeding. (And, not to mention that Lambos and other expensive, fast cars are absolute cop magnets--as soon as they see them, the radar detection devices get turned on.) Myself, I just drive a little, 2007 fart car-- the cops can't be bothered with me! Then again, I hardly ever drive above 40 around here, and rarely venture out on to the highways. Guess I'm not exactly a speed demon. :D
