After reading about bag check at the Magic Kingdom, I really don't think I want to leave the park, and take a midday break. The entire process is too involved, and takes way too much time. It's easier to just build in some rest time for myself in the Magic Kingdom.
Daughter does that for us. We go to COP, followed by Monster's inc. and a meal. Takes up the afternoon, when we need a break. Then we go back to the resort. It's time for a nap and shower.

I love when I find "found" money. It makes all the cleaning fun. I sometimes put away money, as I know I will forget about it, and it's so fun to find it once again. I do this to keep up the cleaning. It goes for something fun....a meal out, or movie, or a trip on light rail....to downtown. This keep's our life interesting.

I once found $27,437.48 cleaning out the console of my old car!!!!! :jawdrop:
I wish...! ;)

Today is my older son's 49th birthday. Next year he will turn 50, and I will turn 70. Where did the years go? Seems like I jut gave birth yesterday. I remember how hot it was when I entered the hospital. I went in on a Monday, and he was born on a Tuesday.

DWifey and myself are a bit younger, but, still can relate. We have three children (DD 21, DS 23, and DD 25).
We have been involved so much, and done so many things as a family together, and have so many good memories, but, yes...where did the time go...? And, why did it seem to fly by sooo fast...?!?!?!

I'm convinced it's because we want the drag times of life to go faster, and the fun times to go slower (neither seem to do either )...in the end, it all seems to kinda' equal out and goes waaayyyyy too fast... ;)

Probably older age. It hits many people. I remember when I was told of high blood pressure, and diabetes. It's a shock to the system. Both parent's had high blood pressure, Mom was diabetic. It's the genes you get. I've never been a big meat eater, and I have high cholesterol. Dad died from heart disease , he had low cholesterol. Doctor say's it's the gene's that get us. I believe that. I've altered my diet, low sugar, no dairy, little meat. My number's keep going up and up. Except for not eating, I don't have any other idea's.

My Mom 81 is in that borderline diabetic range. Her Mom passed from pancreatic cancer. I think at 84. My Mom's biggest issue is she sits a lot. I'd like to get her a Fitbit so she can see how often she reaches the 10,000 steps. But she'd either clunk me in the head with it or if she didn't like the readouts she'd give it back to me lol. For her age she always had a nice shape. Now more that short barrel look. I guess at this age she gets to decide what she is or is not going to do.

I understand all the circumstances, but this teacher, was found to be over indulging in alcohol. That was why he was terminated. No law suits. The parent's were glad he was gone. It was a sorry situation all around.

I am stunned. I can't wrap my brain around them catching the teacher drinking on the job and allowing the teacher to stay until the end of the year. Dear Lord.

He won 22 medals, 18 of them gold. His Olympic teammates voted him in to carry the flag. He's 31 now, and hopefully, has moved beyond some personal issues he was batting some years ago.

Yes I am aware of his personal accomplishments as a competitive swimmer. And yeah he has had his share of personal issues. It is his legal troubles and arrests I have more of an issue with than his personal life. It is not like the man didn't have enough money to hire a driver or take a taxi. Once and you'd think he'd learn after his heartfelt apology to the press but then to repeat it again at age 29, just under 2 years ago. As a Mom of competitive swimmers I am in awe of his professional abilities. He is an awesome swimmer. Life choices not so awesome.

well, multiple projects. But Great Movie Ride and Tower of Terror comes to mind.

Yeah both have been making a great deal of noise this week.

Kinda knew something would eventually come to a head with the GMR given the move away from the park being themed to a studio. I'll be sad to see it go even if an excellent attraction replaces it. It is such a unique attraction.

Tower-well I just keep hoping it really doesn't happen. It is that gnawing feeling of poor decision making and short cut low budget enhancements that leads me to believe it is still possible. :(

Whatever he is uncovering/covering looks a little disgusting.

Oh and thanks for the pillow help, but I think I will have to pass on those ones. I didn't realize they have down/feathers in them. I can't handle, a little bit of an allergy.

Look at the site if you are interested. They also have the down alternative version with the same construction.

I'm not familiar with him. Will check out info. I can't wait for opening ceremonies. I like the summer Olympic's for the diving. I never had the nerve to go off more than the small diving board. I love to see the skill of the diver's. I lived in Indiana when Mark Spitz won so many medals. He was an I.U. student just before me.

I.U. still has one of the best swimming and diving programs around. I was a young swimmer when Spitz won all those medals. I remember watching him on TV and not believing how fast he was. I like the opening ceremonies too, follow swimming, diving and gymnastics. Last time I watched rowing too cause one of my BFF daughter was a rower. This time an acquaintance of mine son is going for track and field so I have a bit of a vested interest in T&F this time. Love the olympics.

Hey all. Sorry I've not been on in a while. Sheesh, this new job is a lot of work. But I've seen a few shows here in NYC, and here is a brief pictorial before I collapse in bed before another 6AM wakeup - argghhhh.

A few weeks ago, I actually paid for a ticket to see CATS. Naturally Phil refused so I was on my own. In this case, Phil may have been correct. I went to a Mexican restaurant before the show, and the waiter saw me looking at my ticket and then brought me a free margarita and said "You'll need it if you're going to sit through that."

Then onto the show:

A week later, I went to see Matilda, which was a lot of fun:

And tonight I saw The Color Purple which was absolutely amazing in every way.

I still haven't booked a trip to the world, but I hope to do so soon. I hope all of you are doing very well. Back to you soon.

;)

I was just thinking about beer cheese soup today, it sounded really good despite the 90 degree temp and humidity we are having today. We brought home some sourdough Boudin bread from California Adventure and that would pair so well with the soup. (But the bread is in the freezer and hubby would throw a fit if I tried to feed him soup in this hot weather!)

I love soup. Very few I don't care for. I can eat it year round. I know they have cold soups, not a big fan. Last week I made a pot of Minestrone Soup with all fresh veggies. Awesome.
