I made a doctor's appointment for tomorrow to have my left foot looked at. They might just confirm what I already think I have, but then maybe not. Many years ago, I had Plantars Fasciitis, but I am not sure if it was the same foot. Funny thing is, I spent a week at WDW in late January, early February, and my feet were fine. No pain at all. Not the pain I have been feeling lately. Just the usual being on my feet all day pain, which I have become accustomed to after all my trips to Disney World. With my trip to WDW being just 39 days away, I wanted a few solid answers.
Better safe than sorry.

I really think the age needs to be solidifed. Either 18 is the age when you are an adult and have full legal rights as an adult...or 21 is. Being between 18 and 20 just quite frankly sucked.
I agree. 18-21 is a limbo adult and and further restrictions 21-25 makes it more difficult. Too many conflicting subjective measurements.

People can get credit cards a lot younger than 25 though. I had mine at 18 thanks to being in college.

Better than BabyBoomer woman. Until the middle 70's woman were not granted credit, or credit cards. College or not.

But things were different when you were in college. The laws changed the year my DD went off to college 2010. Gone were the days that young people enrolled in college could obtain credit cards. Sure you can still get them if you demonstrate financial independence plus a job history warranting credit and a credit history to support that. Other than that small demographic of college students you must have a co-signer as of 2010. Universities and alumni organisations now must disclose financial gains they receive from the financial institutions issuing credit cards to college students at their colleges.

No one is questioning their subjectivity or consistency, I am talking about the reason why it isn't strange that they might use either standard to their advantage. You can vote (and die in a war) at age 18 and then you if survive you can have a drink when you are 21. Both quite adult activities. (this year excluded) That is current set of rules we have and that is the reason that they can and do make calculated policy that benefits their business. The public had the bulk of the say in either of those items. You want to blame any factor you can blame the sanctimonious right. Those that want to be able to feed their military machine and at the same time appear to have a moral stand against the evils of alcohol. We the people are still the ones that allow those things to remain the way they are if it is objected to enough. We have no one to blame but ourselves. Lawyers will only get what jury's give them. Again, we the people.

Drinking at 21 unilaterally is a relatively new subjective measurement. When I was 19 I could drink and go to a bar, at 18 years I could go up into Wisconsin. Chicago has some of the toughest gun laws in the country and yet has the worst record for murders & shootings. Measurements often have little to do with reality.

Subjective measurements just get rammed through often without merit. And to a limited degree I agree with your generalization of we the people. Unfortunately the cost of changing laws is expensive and very time consuming. Most 18-21 year olds are easy targets, they have little access to funding and lobbyists needed, let alone the ability to retain an attorney to fight a long battle. Corporations are in a better position to withstand the years of legal challenges and appeals. We the people have a better shot at changing laws that include large demographics of age, sex, orientation & race than a demographic that covers a very small percentage, couple years and would age out of that demographic long before any laws could be altered.

I can only say, I'm sorry. It is hard for some people to give up what they can no longer do safely. Maybe she will adjust, here's hoping .
I honestly do not believe that. Thats why we moved her to our house.
She probably did this everytime she was alone at her home. (and she fell a few times there..)
problem is now.. a single fall would be fatal for her. x_x

In other news, I had a fury filled morning.
Mother wakes me, angry because "I didnt woke up in time" and im like.. "in time for what?"
"for you to drive me to the bus station" GEE MOM, THANKS FOR TELLING ME YESTERDAY!

So finally hurry to get a quick shower.. get out, get shoes and everything ready.. wait by the door.. and wait.. and wait.. and my mother doesnt come down.. go try to find her and shout about time.. She complains that she is in the bathroom.
She was in the bathroom herself and took 45 minutes to get ready. GEEE MOMMMMM
So much for complaining how "I take too long". :banghead:

So, we finally get to the car, we drive.. and halfway there.. "I FORGOT MY BUS PASS" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
:banghead::banghead:

So off we return.
Pass a lot of traffic and leave her on the bus station.
Mere 15 minutes later I receive a message "I forgot my reading glasses" .

But she doesn't only messages me. She calls me, calls the cleaning lady and hurries me to get there.
So I had to run at over the speed limit, hope the goodarn transit police didn't get near me.
Deliver the goodarn glasses and back home.

I swear I was expecting something worse later like " I forgot my wallet" or something like that...

All of our homes, in our neighborhood, has boxes like the last picture. And some people homes, (not ours) is valued over 1/2 million dollars. You think they would get door to door delivery. All the new subdivisions have those kind of boxes. I think that's why we often don't get our mail.

My DD mail lock box receives mail daily that isn't hers, let alone belonging to anyone in the business or other apartments. Fortunately for her she doesn't do paper payments or statements. What of hers doesn't make it isn't critical.

I live in a very old community. We have mail walked up and delivered to our door mailbox. I guess even the US Post office has difficulties changing delivery options.

Dealing with family members can be difficult, to say the least. You have your hands full between your mother and grandmother. Deep breaths, my friend . . .

Anyone want to come over and clean for me

Nope!!! No time -- off and on this week while I had time on vacation, I cleaned out some boxes, etc. Hate going through papers, because that's all I do all day at work. But I forced myself to go through all of it. Ended up with 4 garbage bags of shredded documents when I was done. I love throwing out stuff !! :D

Sorry no I'm getting my house in order today. I think I found a hotel for our Kennedy stay.:joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull: Sleep number bed and the pool might just be what we're looking for. Waiting to hear back from my dh to see what he thinks.

Sleep numbers are the best, I would book it just for that. I think our next bed will be sleep number.

I love clearing out stuff. I did a basic clean. And when I come back I will start clearing out stuff in our basement, that I'm looking forward to because it is a mess. I hope you are enjoying your vacation. Are you back to work on Monday? Hope you have a good weekend planned.
