Oh wow! I've seen those things in new developments of townhomes in urban areas.

We:

Where my DD lives is in a mix use building of half appartments and half corporate offices so they have one similar to this right to the side of the front door.

All of our homes, in our neighborhood, has boxes like the last picture. And some people homes, (not ours) is valued over 1/2 million dollars. You think they would get door to door delivery. All the new subdivisions have those kind of boxes. I think that's why we often don't get our mail.

In other news, my grandmha is frustrating us a lot.
We keep telling her not to carry dishes, pick up stuff. but she insists.. infact she makes sure we are on the second floor.. so she sneaks to try to do these we forbid her to do.
She CANNOT CARRY ANYTHING NOW. but she seriously is a mule.. stubborn.. I once had to literally dive to prevent her from falling after she insisted in carrying 4 heavy ceramic saucers.
Now I just told her 30 minutes ago that if she wanted to go out, so I could get her chair outside... (we had to pack everything inside since it rained VERY hard yesterday)... she said NO, that she would go outside in the afternoon.
No less than 5 minutes ago, she was trying to pick up the heavy chair by herself.. :banghead:
I can only say, I'm sorry. It is hard for some people to give up what they can no longer do safely. Maybe she will adjust, here's hoping .

For this hotel, I understand as it is a convention hotel. The only thing I disagree with is you'll pay an extra adult fee if you're 18-20 to stay in the same room as your parents. I think if they are going to make the minimum check-in age 21, you should be able to stay in your parents' room without paying extra.

Car rentals are kind of annoying. I think it should be based on number of years licensed, not age. My other friend who I was talking about taking is 25, but she's had more accidents and more tickets than I have (or that the friend who I am bringing, who is also 21). I was also liscened at 16 whereas she was 19, so she hasn't been driving that much longer than me. If we had gone, I probably would have just paid the fee for me to drive rather than have her do something stupid and us end up in a car accident. I don't let her drive when we're together; I drive. I think it should be 18+ to rent, 5 years licensed to not pay an extra fee, regardless of age. Thankfully, since we're 21, most car rental places for just an extra fee. Which seems to be $25 across the board in SoCal.
I see the hotels charging an adult fee for 18-20 because you ARE an adult at that age and many young adults are planning to/have moved out on their own by that age.

Hahaaa...!!!!!!! :hilarious:
Tooooooo funny!!!!!
Shortly after DWifey and I first started dating, we went on a ski trip to Red River, New Mexico with a bunch of others, via bus, sponsored by our local Sail & Ski Center.
Along with another couple, DWifeys younger sis came along with us.
The other couple had skied many times before, but, none of us ever had.
So, the next morning, the first thing we did was take lessons on the bunny slope. When it was SisterILs turn to come down the bunny slope, she did a similar thing, went off track and knocked over about a dozen other skiers in our class...!!!!! :joyfull:
It was like something from a silly movie....!!!!! :hilarious:
That's funny, don't you wish you had a way to record this?

I made a doctor's appointment for tomorrow to have my left foot looked at. They might just confirm what I already think I have, but then maybe not. Many years ago, I had Plantars Fasciitis, but I am not sure if it was the same foot. Funny thing is, I spent a week at WDW in late January, early February, and my feet were fine. No pain at all. Not the pain I have been feeling lately. Just the usual being on my feet all day pain, which I have become accustomed to after all my trips to Disney World. With my trip to WDW being just 39 days away, I wanted a few solid answers.
I hope the doctor can give you pain relief, before your trip. Good luck!

My dh is even thinking it might be a good idea for the last day. Only do things we have missed or our absolute family favorites. He said if we finish up AK early enough we may even head back and finish at MK at midnight! The guys worked on the plan a bit last night.
Daughter did that on our last day. The rest of us, kids and son in law, slept in, and had a late breakfast. Hubby and I spent the day in Epcot. Son in law, took the kids to the magic kingdom.

Walt and I are kindred spirits. :inlove: ;) (By the way, Jack's not a fan of the heat either.) Today is supposed to be brutal--up to 95 and humid. Ugh! Thank goodness I'm on vacation this week so I don't have to deal with commuting to work in this heat. (Most of this week has been o.k. with only one really hot day--but today will be the hottest day of the week here.)
We had 95 yesterday, with about 6 drops of rain, out of one passing cloud. I still like that I can go out without freezing. Winter is not our friend around here.

@Gabe1 I have the same weather as you today. I don't mind the heat and humidity either because I just remind myself of the flip side (freezing temps). I wouldn't have minded spending the day in the hammock but when it finally dried out we got a quick rain outside and it was soaked again.
We're having extreme hotness today but no rain. :( I'd rather have a heat advisory than a blizzard warning.

I really think the age needs to be solidifed. Either 18 is the age when you are an adult and have full legal rights as an adult...or 21 is. Being between 18 and 20 just quite frankly sucked.

That looks intense. I hope you made it through the storms okay.

Thanks. We did.

Strangely it tripped a fuse/breaker thing. Me at dawn without any coffee, I'm walking around trying to figure out what the what, not thinking clearly (being decaffeinated and all) and out of a sound sleep. Finally it clicked with me only some of the house didn't have power.:banghead: We got a good chunk of rain but haven't heard how much yet.
