speaking of movies.. we tried to go to Finding Dory...
but its July.. and weekend..
The entire tourist invasion is raging hard.. thus the cinemas are always packed to the seams x_x
And I'm definitively not going to sit in the front in a skewed angle to the screen.

I think it is strange that tourists would go to a movie while on vacation. I have never gone to a movie while on vacation, I would rather experience things I can't do at home. But to each their own I guess. Hope you make it to Dory eventually, it is a cute movie. Although I might go to a movie while on my Disney cruise in November because Moana will have just come out.

Parchment Paper one of my favorite inventions. One of the 7 wonders of the cooking world.

I just used some yesterday, I made puff pastry cheeseburger bites. They tasted okay but I lived not scrubbing the overflow cheese off the pan.

It got above 90 and it was humid with quite a few seniors who are over 85 so better safe than sorry. The sandwiches came out really well according to the boys. Nothing like baking when it's in the 90s:confused:
My boys are doing rope drop until 2 no nap. That's check in day at the condo so my dh will move our gear, nap and meet up with us around 7 or so.

Good morning almost everything is packed and ready to go:) I also got lucky moving around a few FP selections for out late night:)

Brave boys to do 2am with no nap, I couldn't. Although when I was their age I could have. We leave in 6 days for Disneyland and I haven't begun to pack! But I didn't unpack the clean clothes from my trip from WDW , so I guess I'm kind of packed.

Yes! That is my experience and that's why I go solo without hubby to WDW. I have a great time, and I never try to force the same vacation on him, if he doesn't like to go there. Different strokes for different folks.

@BuddyThomas , another idea is to do a sort of split-stay vacation. What if you guys went for say, 3 days, and then went to another location (let's say, the Florida Keys for example here) for another 3-4 days? Maybe that might work--best of both worlds for both of you? Just a thought . . .

I was thinking that too about a split vacation. Maybe a Disney cruise, so he can see how elegant Disney can be. And the cruise ship has some fun bars.

With all this talk about camping, I thought I might interject a small snippet from my essay about tent camping. I hope you enjoy it.

"As we were heading up the mountain a small group of Bears passed in front of our slanted headlights immediately establishing the fact that no one was going to leave the car for quite awhile. Dad managed to find a pull off point on the road and it was decided by management that this is where we were going to spend the night. After doing a little bedtime maintenance by incorporating my fathers pipe tobacco can and a very brief step outside of the car, (after the Bear sighting we had little problem in hurrying the process) we all settled down, sleeping in an upright position for what little remained of the night. At dawns early light, we continued to head up the mountain looking in vain for the campground. I believe we did pass it, but we didn’t stop. He continued up to the top of the mountain were we got a quick look at the scenery, including the ocean, which was somewhat visible through the light morning fog.

It was decided, I think by Mom, that this was not a suitable place for civilized people to lay out themselves in what must look like a buffet to a Bear. So we headed home with the one positive thing that happened and that was that we never saw the tent again. Score!"

June, July and August (and during christmas days) its for local tourist from Mexico.
so technically they do not go to "see new things". They just want to "get away" from the tediousness of the big city.
so bad they bring all that to our town when they visit (along with trash)

I play Magic Kingdoms too, we were on vacation for a lot of the Incredibles even and I didn't play a lot so I just missed out on getting Mr. Incredible, I'm bummed but maybe there will be another chance in the future. I'm trying to get Minnie now.
Yeah, we were in Disneyland for a lot of the Incredibles event as well. I still managed to play a good bit, mostly while standing in line. I missed getting Syndrome, although my characters did battle the Omnidroid. I wish the event had fallen during another time, otherwise I would have had them all. They probably will run it again at some point in the future. In the meantime, I just send them all off on tasks to collect more currency.

I unlocked Rapunzel right after the event was over. Now I'm working on Zurg. I'm also saving my gems to get Wall-E.

Oh Boy! Sorry to hear that. It was a little over 5 years ago some of Illinois was dealing with this at the same time an asian beetle was also carving holes through some trees cutting off water flow. We lost the battle to the beetle but our area collectively won the battle against the gypsy moth. They did do two separate overnight aerial drops to kill off the little boogers.
We have billboards all over the state about moving firewood to stop the spread of ash borers.

Today I moved books from the first floor of my house to the basement, and my grandson's wagon is sure handy to have around moving them the rest of the way to our new bookcases. My grandson is 23 years old, and I have a lot of his "Kid Stuff". Sure glad that I kept the wagon.
I've seen a garden grown in a wagon. So pretty with flowers and green onions.

I'll see if hubby can take a few with his phone for me. My only hesitation about today is that we're supposed to get some intermittent rain (even thunderstorms). My concern is if some of the attendees plan to wear their (sometimes very elaborate) regalia, I'm not so sure they'd be willing to wear it if it's going to pour. I'm hoping they'll have some fancy dancers and the rain holds off, but we'll see once we get there.
How was the Pow Wow? Did you make it without the rain?
