Okay so the severance check has been deposited into my account. Most people would not think it is a significant amount, but it is the most money I have ever had in my bank account in my entire life. You guys know me - I don't care - I post anything - but they made me sign this like 12 page confidentiality agreement, so I just can't say. But let's just say that it is more than enough for a Disney trip with a bunch left over. My strategy is to take Phil on a trip anywhere he wants to go to butter him up,and then tell him that I've booked a Disney trip and he can come or not come. I'm considering Food and Wine, but I'm also wondering if I should just wait until Avatar Land opens. Anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance.
Good for you and just so you know that I'm here for you, if ever that money starts to burn a hole in your bank vault, feel free to forward a few thousands to me. I promise I will put it to some humanitarian use. (I am human, I believe)

It's not to bad coming this way. It's a lot worse going back. It usually only takes a couple of days to get into the swing of things coming this way, but it takes a couple of weeks going back. We're good for now, thanks!
That's what I've found going out to Hawaii (6 hour difference from here during Daylight Savings time). You go out there, and you basically stay up until 9 or 10 pm their time, and then you're right on their time. Coming back...ugh.

I feel a whole lot better when I eat my own food. It's not that I am the greatest cook, but hidden ingredients in prepared foods, and restaurant food, are more likely to make my stomach a mess. Some people can eat anything with no problem. I am not one of those people.
I'm getting the same way, the older I get. I have to eat very low fat, and no dairy, gluten bother's me too. But, I try not to eat too much on any given day.

I love peaches. It's my favorite fruit of all time. When I was a kid, there was an ice cream place that had an absolutely wonderful peach sundae. They served it with whipped cream, of course, and Nabisco Sugar Wafers. What ever happened to those. Yummy. My mouth is watering now.
I miss the Nabisco Sugar Wafers too. I loved putting them in the fridge and eating them cold.

Your idea sounds like a win win to me. I'm partial to Food and Wine. But, it's fun to spend anytime in Disney. That was no help was it? ;)

What a great feeling to make a big deposit and see those numbers in your account. As a teacher we get all our summer checks deposited at one time, so every year in June for one day I feel rich, and the. I have to budget it out for bills.

I say plan the Disney trip you want and take Phil away for a nice wine weekend to butter him up. As for food and wine or avatar, that's a tough call. F&W dates are for sure but Avatar dates aren't official yet. So I lean to F&W, plus if Phil likes wine and food that might draw him in.

Or maybe a quick F&W and a trip down when the Avatar thing opens.

And as others mentioned a solo trip is fun or maybe a trip with friends. @figmentfan423 and I can keep you company.;)
Include me too. @BuddyThomas would be fun to travel with. And I would finally have a drinking buddy.;)
