My heart goes out to you. At one point in my life, I was laid off from a job I had for 16 years. A whole bunch of us were shown the "door" in two waves (I was in the 2nd round).

Eventually, life goes on and new opportunities present themselves. Better days will soon be ahead.

Yep, the majority of y'all here know my story, too. I was the last and only person laid off from the firm, in round 5, in Jan. of '09. Worked many retail jobs, including The Disney Store the whole time.

One of the partners came into The Disney Store just as I was starting my Lead Manager shift. It was about 3 years and 2 months after they had laid me off. He gave me a bear hug and said they had enough work to hire me back part time contract to work from home.
About 10 months later, in Feb. of '13, they hired me back full time again, and gave my old office. One crazy ride that all was.

Anyway, keep swimming @BuddyThomas...! ;)
I have a feelin' there are even better things in your future...! :)

No bad to ME everywhere. I just don't like the overwhelming sauce. I don't taste the meat, just the overwhelming sauce.
And one must remember in my little Hamlet, I don't have choices, I have one restaurant that I favor and we are out. We do not even have a grocery store or any other commercial type box stores etc. So we travel to neighboring towns to dine.
did they really changed that much? I ate there back in 2008 or 2009 and it was fine. not empowering at all.

Sometimes it's almost impossible to have a seat without kids around, when going to Disney!;)

It's funny, of all the trips we've flown (which is all of them) to WDW, I don't remember a single issue with children...other people's or ours.
Granted, our youngest was 6 at the time, and our oldest turned 10 while we were there on our first family trip in '01, but, no issues. DWifey dosen't like flying, but, just like me, all 3 kiddos love it and have always been good and courteous passengers. :)

Sorry to hear this :(
So sorry to hear that. Thank goodness you were home from your trip. All the best to you and your family.
Thank you. He was nearly 100, so it's not completely unexpected, but I had called my grandmother right before we left, and she said he had been doing well, so it's sudden. My grandmother found him unresponsive this morning, she called 911, and they got him to the hospital, and he passed later today.
