I echo @StarWarsGirl @betty rose the world has been nutso the past week and it is depressing. Add in my Dad passing and the horrible things in 3's that happened in Orlando....it is just that a depressing week or so. I enjoy your company, you are a funny funny lady.

But I didn't understand the No photo's of October, we live for photo's. Is it 'cause it is an extended family type thing?
It's not a family thing, I thought maybe I had posted too many each day. I've had a hard time, seeing this little boy's face, in my mind when I keeping waking up at 3 in the morning, thinking of him. I'm doing better. I'm looking at restaurant meals for October.

I just checked us in for our flight. We leave tomorrow morning, and since we are leaving on my husband's birthday (his 40th) I decided to surprise him by upgrading us both to first class (just on the way down). So I needed to be on the airlines website right away in order to have first dibs on the upgrade. There were only 2 seats left in first class, we won't be able to sit next to each other, but he is in the row behind me. I haven't decided if I'm going to tell him today or wait until tomorrow. Ok, enough fooling around, I have to finish packing!!!!!!!!:joyfull:
What a great surprise!

My guess is the GrandFather has to be getting up in age, at that point who the heck cares. Maybe he needs it to cope with family. ;)
The problem is getting to be when he gets in the car after drinking too much. And he evidently had this problem on and off when my mom was growing up, which I never knew until she told me...last night.

He has had a rough few years. It was hard for him after my grandmother died, and more recently, my paternal grandfather, who was his best friend since he was a kid, has been confined to a nursing home as his dementia is getting worse and worse. So that's been hard for my maternal grandfather. But even so, coming home and having two or three drinks per night is NOT good.

At least 99-year-old stepgrandfather is doing well. He evidently wanted to go up in the attic last week. My grandmother told him absolutely not. But I'm sure there's probably going to be more drama once we get back from CA with my grandma, so...ugh.

I'm sorry about the family issues. Have the best trip ever.

What I like about horseradish is it hits ya' with good spice (similar to wasabi), and then backs off in a relatively short amount of time. Too much of a jalapeño, serrano, etc., will take you (me ;)) out for a good while. Pain. We haven't been to Arby's in a very long time, but, I always used to absolutely love their Horsey Sauce on my sandwiches...!!! :hungry:
I wish they would bottle that sauce and sell it in the grocery stores. I know I would buy it to dunk french fries in. And pretzels too!

I remember the good old days, when I could get Geradelli's (sp), butter pecan, with hot fudge. So good. Does anyone know if they have "dairy" free "ice cream"?
Not sure that "dairy free" ice cream is possible! You can have frozen stuff that resembles ice cream and is mistakenly called ice cream. Cream is the key word here. It almost screams that it must be dairy. :D

Thanks so much. :inlove: You my friend along with @StarWarsGirl likely get the 2 glasses of wine and you can be nice to godzilla thing. :joyfull: I'm pretty stoic so I'm assuming it will go well...it is that gathering of various families I dread.

I made it through Father's Day, that was bad timing...now through Saturday. He ultimately will make his way to a National Veterans cemetery and that will have a formal military ceremony but that won't be until likely August, Government moves slowly or so I'm told. The flag will be presented to my Mom on Saturday though.
That will be a nice a good remembrance for you and the family. We have hubby's grandfather's flag. I'm sorry that everything hit at once. After all is over, I hope you have a nice, settled summer.

It looks like we have a place to stay back home. Whew...what a relief. I'm keeping the hotel reservation for a bit though, just in case. We still have to cut that part of the trip short because the people are going to trinidad on the 20th, but that's ok...at least it's free, and hey, more time with our friends in Cheyenne. Silver lining, right? 34 Days until Disney!!!
Yes, it sound's like all is moving along, for your trip. 34 days will be here before you, know it. :joyfull:
