Great minds LOL My dh is off today so we're all going out and grabbing a few things for the trip, going to the library and we hope to be done in time to have at least an hour or 2 at the pool. Not sure about the last one because my dh wants to go to the hardware store:hilarious: I'm going to pack the overnight bag for the ride down this week:joyfull: I'm going to at least try to get that done but the weather looks so nice for the next week.

I have to pack soon too, we leave on Tuesday. I'm sitting next to my dog right now and she has really bad gas today for some reason, so that might motivate me to start packing so I don't have to sit with her anymore. Sure I could make her move, but she is comfortable and I don't want to disturb her.

Exactly...and now I'm picturing the beach/pool area at Caribbean Beach where we are staying in just over a month. Do I tell my kids they can't go swimming? Do they do alligator checks are resort pools? I don't know WHAT to think.
I would say, watch out for snakes. The snake we saw was on the path, near the adult pool in broad daylight. Came slithering out of the plants onto the path. I'm more sensitive to snakes right now, having just saw one. :(

I remember when they both came out too. My older sister was allowed to go see Ghostbusters and Gremlins. I was not, I think my mom probably thought I would be scared (movie about ghosts, and a movie about little monsters). She was probably right. I remember that I had a loose tooth the day my sister got to see Ghostbusters, and my mom told me if I lost it that I could go to the movies as a reward. I tried but I couldn't lose it in time. I don't really know why she made that offer, maybe she knew I wouldn't lose it. Anyway, I still have never seen either movie.
I was 6 when Gremlins came out. My parents had just divorced and my dad was determined to "exercise his right" to have us for the Summer even though he had never taken care of us a single hour out of our lives and he worked nights and slept days. He got a 16 year old babysitter who was much more interested in her boyfriend than in her job and she'd drive us into Gillette and dump us with her grandparents and go off with the boyfriend. They wanted to go to the movies, so they enlisted grandma to take us to a different movie so she and her boyfriend could see a RomCom. Her grandma took us to Gremlins, not knowing what it was about. I had nightmares for weeks. I think your mom was right!

I can't believe people would picket a person's funeral. That is disgusting.
Oh are you not familiar with the Westboro Baptist church? Fred Phelps? Google them. I'd explain here, but I'm afraid that would get me in trouble for being political. Anyway, the picture I posted was from a counter protest we did against him when he came to Laramie where I went to college. He came for the trial of Matthew Shepherd's murderers. He picketed Matthew's funeral but we didn't have the organization at that time. So when he came for the trial, we got together to block his hate. Angel Action is what we called it and it has spread across the nation with groups making human walls at every funeral he pickets, but my understanding is they are no longer allowed to wear the big wings because Phelps' group complained that it was an infringement on their first amendment rights.

I would say, watch out for snakes. It was reported that a little kid got bit by a deadly snake and died. The snake we saw was on the path, near the adult pool in broad daylight. Came slithering out of the plants onto the path. I'm more sensitive to snakes right now, having just saw one.
I believe the child got bit but his gran died ...
Makes no sense to me either

I'm taking my own advice and going for a nap now. Then an early dinner. A couple recorded cooking shows and off to bed. Yes, my life is boring since I came back. But, I really need the sleep and the same old, same old. At least for the next couple weeks. It takes longer to recover from so much fun. That's okay. We are adding to our experiences with the family. We got anniversary buttons for our 48 on June 1st. That was a fun day too. We celebrated at Hoop Dee Doo Review. We were all there, the kids, and grandkids. I hope hubby got some good pics. I know daughter did. I may have to e mail her. We were having so much fun, that we didn't take too many. My all time favorite place to celebrate an anniversary. The CM's were great and played along with us. I can't wait until the 50th. We plan on celebrating there.
That sounds like a great time. HDDR is one of my favorite things to do. Did a performer announce it was your anniversary?

I was thinking the same thing! How in the world is it better to let him pee in the boat than in the water. How does "no, don't let him pee in the water" mean "let him go right here"? And didn't the mother say something? If she thought it was bad to let him pee in the water, why didn't she have a problem with it in the boat where people will be sitting the whole day? SO gross!!
Extremely gross that the ride vehicle probably wasn't taken out of the rotation. I've always told my daughter "I don't care if you don't have to go, try anyway" when I know we won't have access to a bathroom for awhile.
