I was in the lazy river once at Typhoon Lagoon and a kid picked a snake up out of the water and threw it over to the side. It wasn't a dangerous snake, at least that is what he told his mom. It creeped me out a little.

Yikes!
One time at Schlitterbahn several years ago we ran across a small copperhead on one of the walkways down by the Comal River.
It ended up slithering off into the grass as we cautiously kept walking towards it. DWifey is absolutely terrified of snakes, poisonous or otherwise.

I decides to go way back to page 3756 and I really love the feedback you guys gave me during my first stay at the hospital 4 months ago. Thanks for all the love and care you guys gave me especially @MOXOMUMD @song and @figmentfan423. It was a pretty bizarre experience after learning about what was happening with my stomach. But 4 months after that event I'm feeling much better. Good thing I brought my android to the hospital since it was the only way I had a chance to contact you guys and read the feedback. This might be another good reason for why I'm a member of this site.

Nobody wants to see someone else ill but it is a Mom thing, Dads too that have so much Empathy when the young are suffering.

So happy you are doing much better.

Glad to be home from school. Tuning into some Disney music and since it is very beautiful outside I am thinking about sitting out on the back deck for a bit.

Like right now I am in school and really should'nt be on here, but l'm bored.

Oh my, I hope your teacher doesn't catch you on this site during school hours. We don't want you to get in trouble. I have an alternative suggestion to help you through your class boredom: daydream! Just sit there and look attentive, while your mind is 1,000 miles away--maybe you're skiing in the Swiss Alps?! (Worked for me when I was a student in school. ;) )

Oh my gosh!! I would have freaked if I saw a Copperhead. No wonder DWifey was terrified!!

Actually, thankfully, DWifey wasn't with us at the time. We were there with another family, and I and the other dad were heading to another attraction with the older kiddos while our wives were in a kiddie wet play area with the younger ones.
DWifey wouldn't have kept cautiously walking towards it, she would've been runnin' like that hot place ;) in the other direction...!!!

I wouldn't be on my phone if the teacher was teaching a lesson or something like that, but all we are doing in each class is studying our notes for the Final Exams next week and 99% of the class isn't even doing it anyway.

Nice! :inlove: What a great gift. A little bit of luxury.

I had a pair for a long time when I was young, I wore them a lot when I was skiing. Once there was a house, kids etc I couldn't bring myself to buy them again. Last year my Sis mailed me a pair for my Birthday, I quickly remembered how clear everything popped through them.

Last fall I went over the handlebars of my DD bike I was riding and did a splat face down into the grass. After the dazed me pulled it together the first thing I did was look for my Ray Bans to see if they were OK cause they flew off. They were. *phew*. Then I noted this nickel size deep puncture hole in my shin followed by I had knocked the chain off the bike. But all was well because the sunglasses were OK.

Oh my. Yikes! Sorry about the boo boo.
But yes, haha, save the expensive shades at all costs. ;)
I used to make sure they stayed in their little soft pouch that came with them when I wasn't wearing them, was careful how I put them on and took them off, etc.
I still have one pair (I think I've mentioned it here before) that I wore for 7 years, but, finally decided to retire because one of the temples became so loose. At the time I remember being told the couldn't be repaired. I need to look into that again.
The pair I got this weekend came with a nice hard case and lens cloth. They're in the case and I haven't worn them since the trip home from the mall.
I'll probably wear them pretty sparingly 'til they get a little older, especially if I can get the old pair fixed. ;) :)
