Ha! I thought I was the only Hellmann's "purist" out there! :D I've tried many kinds of mayo, but to me, Hellmann's is the gold standard. :hungry:
It's also good for a midnight snack in the summer! ;)

Oy. Because of you and @ajrwdwgirl I bought 5 pounds of potatoes, 5 pounds of onion, celery, hard boiled egg and Hellmann's Mayo to make potato salad this weekend. Then of course that required a ham. :cautious::rolleyes::hungry:

You can always buy a small flashlight or use your cell phone light app.

It is kinda funny isn't it? World class theme park but bring your flashlight.

I do wonder how Disney neglected lighting issues. I've been saying this for awhile how dark it was and poorly lit years and years ago for their first crack at open at night. That is the other thing, I keep reading first time AK being open at night. Granted it wasn't a real long stretch but I did hit AK multiple times after dark in that stretch. Funny how somethings are forgotten.

New Disney night show. I can't picture anything like this in the USA with the front of castle already packed. It's good but I don't think it's that awesome. For those who don't want to click the link....picture World of Color on the castle.

I'm glad the tree is awesome, everyone says it is excellent vs the comments about Jungle and the Safari. I like the idea that it is continuous. They should think about that for the castle so everyone doesn't just park it in the hub for hours. Doable.

Get the idea projections are how the parks are going? It worked well and repeat, repeat. Still, from what I see especially with the trunk warning you that there is going to be a show soon the tree seems to have charm. Win!

I actually wonder the same.
There has been some reports of areas that are totally black, zero lights. Like parts of the Its Thought to be a bug! queue.

Finally saw Zootopia last night. I really enjoyed it. I love movies that everyone can watch. And the recliners in the theater were super comfy, too.

Today's activity, waiting for my new range! The oven on the old one died almost 2 weeks ago. It is a good thing it is coming in, because there is only so many times you can have some variation of pasta, or something from the crock pot. I had thought I could use the grill, but it seems to be a thunder storm going on every time around dinner.
Sympathy like. I have a counter top convection oven for just such an emergency. It's also worth it's weight in gold in summer for baking or roasting smaller items when you don't want or need to use the big oven:joyfull: it's also great for holidays when you find the need for just a bit more room in the oven or Sunday in my house:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Just my two cents, but I think that this sounds like a good plan for you. Maybe you could let the boys free in AK for an hour or so while you and hubby have Nomad Lounge time. It gives them a little free time and you an hubby a little free time too. Thatis if you are comfortfortable letting them roam the park for a little time without you.

I'm thinking we might ditch our dining packages too, keep the fast pass and do either Harmabe Market or Flame Tree and try to sneak into the Nomad Lounge. That way we get a little variety of taste.
I'm going to keep the TH package as we're going to eat there any way but you're right and my boys will be fine for a couple of hours. We let them do Agent P while my dh and I stopped into R&C Pub:joyfull:

@Gabe1 and @figmentfan423 , as promised, I went to the grocery store on a mission to find chives in the produce department. I tried all of your location hints. No chives. So I asked a man working in that department if they sold chives. He said no. :(

Instead, I went with @FutureCEO 's suggestion of adding scallions, and at least they sold those, so scallions in the potato salad, it is!! :joyfull:
I'm glad it worked out. I got some really good scallions at the farm market both red and white:hungry:

My thoughts remain, is Tiffins really going to be fine dining?? Sure they can charge signature prices and serve small portions of food but I want to see if they can actually prepare food properly, have the over top best staff/service and my big pet peeve with many expensive Disney restaurants the ability to pace a meal properly between courses with nothing ever overlapping.

The portions are generally small because in Fine Dining you generally have bread service, starters, salad, entree and followed by dessert or a cheese plate. But if I start to add this all up YIKES I can go to Victoria and Alberts. Artist Point and Yachtsman Steakhouse are my favorite Signatures right now and Jiko would be right there if it wasn't so far away for a later meal. My fear of Signatures in the Parks (especially if used to get bonus of reserved area seating) is it could falter in overall quality expected from Fine Dining. Fear that turning the table over mentality. I enjoyed Y&Y, the food was good and the portions were satisfying to continue our day in the parks.
My thoughts exactly! If it's a real signature I have no problem with the price (the cheap in me does a bit LOL) but I'm not sure it would be worth it to my mobile stomachs and the review for JB are not great. As with anything Disney I will try it once but I'm still rethinking seeing it twice.

Good morning it's going to be a great day here for BBQ! 90something and sunny! One of the things not good about it is my dh has to get up soon to fire up the smoker, his idea not mine! Plan A burgers and dogs a nice quick grill session. So seeing we're going with plan B I'm going to get the beans, potatoes and mac and cheese going soon so I have pool time.

I am keeping our TH package...it's included in the dining plan anyway, so we're not paying extra for it. If it's not spectacular, I'll cancel our fastpass for it the second AK night and we'll go do something else.

Good luck! Grilling sounds good. I just boiled some chicken for tostadas. Now it's bath time.

I really wish it was just grilling. My dh is into BBQ which is a whole day of work. Ham, turkey breast, chicken, fish, baked beans, tofu bacon and a slab of beef. The upside is I won't have to cook the rest of the week and some tings will get vac sealed and frozen for later use. It works out well in the long run but I wanted relaxation today:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:
