Being older and it's hard to stand in line for over a couple hours. We went pre check. It's getting very busy now. I'm getting tired of the whole system. We are seriously considering not flying anymore. With the planes that have no room, and the seats with no leg support. I'm having to have a drink before I board to keep my circulation to my legs going, it's getting very tiring. I hate this new system of flying. I would love to travel, but not on airplanes anymore. Thanks for listening to my rant. It's over now. But not forgotten.

But can you imagine a 28 hour without stopping to reach WDW by car. Oy.

Seriously though I started this last year with my Mom. When you get to the lobby request a wheelchair since it is difficult for you to stand. For the cost of a 'tip' to the pusher you go to the front of the line, you and your party and they will take you to your gate. The perk of age.
Won't help your time on the airplane but it will help the wear on your legs getting to your gate.

To @Gabe1, the name of the game is Telestrations it's USAopoly game. Sorry I don't hear well, and I thought daughter said Illustrations. I hope you can find this, we have spent a lot of hours playing this. One thing I left out, everyone gets a book to draw in and pass on, the next person has to guess the drawing. We have six players, so six books we go through at the end. It is hilarious. I hope you can find it. Daughter, just got my message, and e-mailed me. She is one busy person.

Thank you so much. I just passed onto my DD who is a game (board game) junkie. My thanks to your DD too.

Clothing store closes at 9p. Customer didn't leave 'til 9:20p. At least he bought a shirt. :)

People! :cautious:

That is one of my DD pet peeves especially when the waterpark is open. Stay till the last second then take their little ones into locker room and shower them up, wash and dry their hair, put jammies on, 45 minutes later after close and they are still there.

My DD being an employee for so long created a new announcement. About 20 minutes before closing she announces that and that the locker rooms will remain open for 15 minutes after pool closing at which time the doors will be locked and the lights will go off. Helped somewhat. :p

Hmm. I can't send or receive imessages without being on the internet. And yes, every setting is right.

Obvious questions

Did you check to see that you are not on do not disturb/contacts not on do not disturb?

Also did you shut off the phone and bring it back up again. That usually cures most things for me.

I've also been selected (maybe 3 times) for TSA preclear. Haven't a clue why, but it was from our airport here. Never happened at MCO though. The funny thing is that I started to take off my sneakers in the pre-clear line and the agent told me I didn't have to do that. I remember looking at her like she was crazy! HA! (I wasn't quite used to the pre-clear status . . . ;) )
Pretty sure only a few airlines still have the PRE-TSA check, and it depends on how trusted you are.
My entire family got selected for PRE-TSA despite not flying that much to the USA.

When I went to Europe last fall, I had the pre-clearance all the way from Raleigh to Paris. Then again from Paris to Venice and from Fort Lauderdale to Raleigh. The funny thing is that I wasn't aware ahead of time that I had that. I'm not sure why I had it, but, I was waved through everywhere, got in front of the lines, basically, and all was wonderful. Like I said, I didn't apply for it, didn't know I had it until I got to the TSA area, but, I wasn't about to argue.

Maybe it was because I'm older then dirt, but, whatever, it worked for me.
so.. they scooped you thru security? ;)

Yep, as you can imagine, it happened A LOT at The Disney Store. Although frustrating at times, I always just smiled and rolled with it. I planned for it mentally, and remembered my contribution to the Disney Magic. Hey, it's The Disney Store! :)
If Plush Mountain was perfect 5 minutes before close and a small child came in with their parents so excited to see the characters that they pulled out and hugged a bunch of them (not to mention the parents going through freshly folded t-shirts, and other product ;)) so be it. Again, it was all part of the Magic, and we could usually "Magically" get it all rebuilt in pretty short order...! ;)

For any of y'all that aren't familiar with a Disney Store Plush Mountain, this is an exact replica of the one at the Store I used to work at...I know it's not our Store because of the lack of the Backstage door between the shelves just right of the video screen...

The last 2 times I flew out of Ohare and once at MCO I went through the pre-clear line. It was nice. Didn't have to take shoes off and didn't need to dump out all my electronics. Flip side out of Midway I swear I have a target on my back, my suitcases need to be inspected and are checked for traces of drugs. Go figure, maybe they don't like polka dots.

The TSA lines now are just as backed up for the prescreened. There were always back-ups from time to time and my DS and I missed a flight once because of it and we were there very early, the lines just failed to move, makes you wonder sometimes what is happening behind the scenes . :cautious: Miss a flight and then you get to find another plus pay a rebooking fee. It is annoying.
