Hubby and I are always early everywhere. We have always gotten to the airport about 2 1/2 to 3 hours early. We would rather sit at the airport gate and relax than stress out trying to get to the gate.
We go early too. But the seats at the airport are too hard to sit in for long. I walk around to the different shops. I never buy anything, but it takes up time and keeps me moving.

The last 2 times I flew out of Ohare and once at MCO I went through the pre-clear line. It was nice. Didn't have to take shoes off and didn't need to dump out all my electronics. Flip side out of Midway I swear I have a target on my back, my suitcases need to be inspected and are checked for traces of drugs. Go figure, maybe they don't like polka dots.

The TSA lines now are just as backed up for the prescreened. There were always back-ups from time to time and my DS and I missed a flight once because of it and we were there very early, the lines just failed to move, makes you wonder sometimes what is happening behind the scenes . :cautious: Miss a flight and then you get to find another plus pay a rebooking fee. It is annoying.

Denver is always a mess. I wish I could buy my own plane.

To @Gabe1, the name of the game is Telestrations it's USAopoly game. Sorry I don't hear well, and I thought daughter said Illustrations. I hope you can find this, we have spent a lot of hours playing this. One thing I left out, everyone gets a book to draw in and pass on, the next person has to guess the drawing. We have six players, so six books we go through at the end. It is hilarious. I hope you can find it. Daughter, just got my message, and e-mailed me. She is one busy person.

Wow!!! Congratulations!! So happy for you. Now you can relax and enjoy some time off. :)
Unfortunately not. I'm working at my current job right up until July 1, at which point I transfer to the new position. I'm actually still going to be doing some work for my current job at the new location (don't ask - very complicated). I feel like I've been traded to another football team. Arghhhhh.

Oh I agree 100% with that. I'm always early, too. I'd much rather be relaxed and bored (if it's a really long wait), than be cutting it way too close in time to get to my gate, at the last minute. That's not how I do things!
Yes, experience has taught us to get there sooner rather than later. We flew down to MCO the day that they instituted the no liquids policy. Security was an absolute mess, but because we were early, we got to our flight on time.

At BWI, there's a Silver Diner on the Southwest side of the terminal, so we usually have a nice meal before we take off if security doesn't take terribly long.

Well then, I hope that things eventually work out o.k. for you. You're obviously very good at your profession, and your talents should be appreciated by the newer management. It may take a while to smooth out any wrinkles, but you'll end up successful, in due course.

This reminds me of a story from the firm years ago...
An elderly couple we had as clients were meeting with one of the partners at our office. The meeting was goin' kinda' long, and the partner remembered them saying they were flying out of town that afternoon. Not wanting them to miss their flight, he asked them when their flight was leaving. The wife's answer... "When we tell it to." :hilarious:
They had their own plane. :)
