Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
Been going in May for many years, and the temps range anywhere from 75 - 95. It's just the luck of the draw when it's lower. As a matter of course, I always leave the parks in the early afternoon and just crash in my hotel room for about 3 hours in the a/c, have a snack or coffee, and watch TV. Then I go back out in the late afternoon and evening for more fun. I could never handle a full day in the parks in the Florida sun.

It is nice to see that Disney is opening the Boardwalk Ice Cream Parlor on Sunday just for you. :hungry:

Sure, but it's geared toward young girls like my daughter. It's not something that most guys would be interested it. My husband can't stand it.

I use to think that too but over the last several years the amount of solo adult guys I've seen waiting to meet the young princesses has surprised me. I don't recall the volume of that demographic when I or my children were little. Rarely was Princess M&Gs queues filled with anything but parents with their own little princesses up to the age of 8-10, then even the preteen gals viewed that activity as lame. I think my kids stopped doing autograph books around 8 years old. So I've seen a sway in what interests some adult men at Disney Parks.

Good morning . It's sunny this morning, more thunderstorms this afternoon. Just the garden variety, so no biggie. I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day. We went to the Cheese Cake factory. Then back to the kids for games. It was a lot of fun. We play a game called illustrations. Each person gets a card and must draw what the word or words say. I got the word tornado. Daughter got it and drew a tornado grandson tried to draw a tornado. Son in law thought he drew a tea pot, lol. Son in law drew a tea pot. Other grandson thought the picture was a goat. We laugh so hard playing this game, just to see how the pictures evolve. It's a fun game, if you like playing games.

That sounds fun but I'm not finding as I google. When you talk to your DD can you ask her who the game manufacture/company is?

I loved Belle. I didn't think I was interested. The really little kids get to go up front and preform with Belle. The little one's are so fun to watch.

See, that is a 'just kill me now moment' for me. Watching little kids I have zero connection to go up and perform with Belle and certainly not watch them have their photo's taken with her.

I do the absolute worst in the heat and humidity in the World Showcase. All that concrete, a lack of useful trees, less and less trees each year and the distance between pavilions. It is a killer in the hot afternoons.
It's hard for us too. We go in the back of the park, go to Las Halles, and have a snack. When the parks open's at 11 A.M. We either start toward Mexico. And the next day we star toward Canada, and out. Doesn't take too long and we walk through the shops or stop to watch a movie. That's how we do World showcase. So far it has worked for us!

Grandson's were never interested past the age of 3.

@MinnieM123 and @FutureCEO want to make sure you guys saw this post from WDWTraveler's post from Friday as this all seems to be coming to a head at Springs at the beginning of your trips.

Thanks, I read this too. We have a couple free days, from the parks this time. I want to explore the Springs. I'm waiting for Blaze to open. They have pizza, and you can pick what you want , along with dairy free cheese. I'm so excited!
