You weren't offended because there was nothing to be offended about. He didn't once put down or compare it to Christmas day or the birth of Christ. It was a completely different topic. One had nothing to do with the other. It was just one group of people deciding that saying that Newton was important to our world and was born on Dec. 25 didn't mean that he was putting down the other famous Dec. 25th birthday. It didn't say that Newtons was more important or less important, he left that up to others to privately decide for themselves. It was an imagined slam with really no basis on it's own.

Even if it did, he had a right to express it or is that precious freedom of speech only for Christians?
agree with this. Unsure why some people got so riled up for his comments.

And most Christians/people know that Jesus wasn't born on December 25th, anyway.
There were four tweets. Some were actually humorous.
could have been worse.. it could have escalated into fox news style ranting. like claiming Saint Nicholas was white and fat like the coca Cola popularized version.

He wasn't? Then why does my church tell me it's Christmas Day on December 25th? Why do the stores give us the countdown to December 25th?
They had to decide the day, the day was never explicitly told in the old books.
If I remember correctly, the great council (One of the first Popes and the Bishops and Archbishops) decided to join all the most used existing versions of the holy books (back then there were many versions and revisions).
To make a single fixed "official" version for the church.
There wasn't a fixed date for Jesus's birth.
They linked the dates of Jesus birth with the visit of the 3 Wise Kings (who weren't kings in the first versions, but Sagues and probably Intelligent Men (scientists?)) and came with a date.

Here is some explanation:
http://www.ucg.org/doctrinal-beliefs/biblical-evidence-shows-jesus-christ-wasnt-born-dec-25/

Another reason was.. The different calendars people used.
Some people bashed Tyson DeGrase for claiming Newton was born on the 25th and how "it wasnt true".
The original dates of Newton were in the Julian Calendar, which is different from the Roman(Gregorian) one if I remember correctly..
But translated, they indeed hit the 25th.

Ha! Seems Keurig took a cue from Disney and have chipped their kcups. In the new 2.0 Keurig you can only use Keurig's Kcups with the chip. No more unauthorized fake kcups pods will work.

Everyone running to make programs to unlock, jailbreak, make editaments and parts for cheaper.

If someone was offended by it they have every right to be just like he has every right to express himself.
The problem is, some of the glorious "examples" of "faithful" individuals.. are those who instantly insulted him and told him to die.. etc..

Reminds me on how many people from all religions.. claims to be faithful and never follow what they are teached.

I'd like to know why he is being video taped with that hat on.....too funny.

The rest will keep. My guess is you'll hear all about it when you return to your church meetings after vacation.

So sick of Christmas music. I've got an iPod with earbuds.

It was about an hour straight of Michael Jackson.

Since your family belongs to DVC and is currently staying there, can you make a different music suggestion to whomever is in charge of the music loop? I mean, one hour of Michael Jackson? Why can't they just mix in a bunch of artists, thereby making the music selection far more interesting to many more people there? o_O

I'll second that!
Now, go out and get yourself a smartphone, already...!!! :joyfull: :D ;) :)

Phone toy is still not at the top of my list, but I did buy a new travel coffee mug that I really like. It has a spring mechanism that you press, and it opens just a small hole, enough to let just the right amount of coffee come out. I really like it; up to this point, I kept spilling my coffee (even a regular covered cup from Starbucks) if I tried to balance it on the seat in the car. :p

They usually do. Someone from recreation just dropped the ball on the music.

The nice thing was that they mixed the Christmas music with popular music when they were playing Christmas music. They should do the same thing at WDW... play Christmas mysic for an hour or so and then the regular loop for an hour...during their usual period of Christmas stuff, that is.
