So, now I have two brothers mad at me. Really, really mad. Like yelling and screaming and swearing kind of mad.

It's her voice I can't stand her voice in the movie! That's also why it my least favorite from the original 5 films.

I absolutely LOVE Adriana Caselotti's voice for Snow White. It is, indeed, to me anyway, classic, and fits the character perfectly.
But, I'm also an older dude, too.

Yea, thanks for the reminder.
The TV in mine and DWifeys bedroom will be on the Hallmark Channel for 2 straight months startin' next Friday.
But, I must say, the fact that she's a very sappy and sentimental lady is one of the many things I love about her.

Don't call me crazy, but... The thing that bothers me about Snow White is her looks. She doesn't look princess-y at all. Her dress is horrible, her hair is way too short... isn't she supposed to be the fairest in the land? She could have been a beauty with a simpler, not tri-color gown and longer hair (a la Aurora, kind of).
I never judge people by their looks in real life, but when it comes to SW, I can't help it. This has annoyed me all my life!

I wonder if there are treatments to slowly retrain the inmune systems of people, by exposing them slowly and little by little to the stuff that causes reactions.

I remember the story of a girl that was allergic TO ALMOST EVERYTHING. She ended being forced to eat cardboard and some vitamin cocktails.
Noone had the solutions but a group of doctors slowly retrained her immune system by exposing her on increasing doses.
Now the girl can eat almost anything including chocolate and nuts. If it wasnt for the doctors.. she would be pretty much dead (either by alergic, or by lack of nutrients)

There are diets that restrict gluten, dairy, etc. then slowly reintroduce one at a time to see how the person responds.

Yeah I can't stand her voice either. High voices in women symbolize more submissive or feminine, I forget which. Do you think that is why Walt Disney made that voice choice given the time in which the movie was made?
