Personally, I think that 1939 was a much more conservative time when words and phrases meant different things then we interpret them now. Know what it meant to be gay back then? It meant joyous and that was all! The last few generations have twisted the meanings of those words around from an innocent feeling of affection or happiness to something so much more gutterish and sexual.

So the same probably applies when Mary says "He's making violent love to me, mother!" in It's A Wonderful Life?

I'm like you I can ride anything anytime and no stomach problems. I could ride the teacups for hours. But if I go on something that goes upside down I immediately have a headache. I like rock and roller coaster but I only go on if the line is short, no need to stand in a long line or waste a fast pass for an instant headache.

I definitely can't do spinning stuff anymore. I can do upside down once, but then probably have to take a break before trying again. I love drops and speed, though!!

I'd give it one more go sans the "turkey leg". It is one of the best done rides. Good luck

I've been on ToT, RnRC, EE, and M:S orange with a full stomach and never had a problem. But, I also tend not to suffer from motion sickness of any kind, and, pretty much, have a cast iron stomach. :)
It's a great ride! I'd give it another try, sans the pre-ride turkey leg, of course...! ;)

Hahaaa...! :)

Ok that last one is very strange. My husband said when he went to one cousin's house, they had to eat their snacks standing at the kitchen counter in case they dropped crumbs or something...the cousin's mom was kind of OCD and wanted everything to stay clean so they weren't allowed to eat anywhere but the counter, so she could just wipe it down when they were done.

I think all four of them are very strange and annoying. :p

Bets, as @donaldtoo mentioned above, a variety of people own those. But my question to you is, how is a Colt 45 a pistol? o_O ;)

I just laugh when I read these. We never had a den and watched TV as a family on the one TV in the living room. Video games and the Internet didn't exist yet, and neither did cd's. The only Pokey we had hung around with gumby, but we did have the covers on the living room furniture! :hilarious:

The first two houses we lived in in No Cal had a formal living room and a family room. The formal living room was only ever used for the Chistmas tree, listening to music on the old cabinet console stereo, overflow company, or special guests. The second house also ended up with an old upright piano in the formal living.
The house my folks still live in here in Texas, just down the road from us, has a family room, and a bonus room with a wet bar, Murphey Bed, and powder bath, as well as the piano and some furniture.
But, we only ever had one TV in the family room, and definitely no video games. Now my folks also have TVs in the bonus room and their bedroom. We had the Gumby and Pokey bendable figures, but, our furniture never had any covers on it. ;)
I do, however, remember when my best friend back in No Cal got Pong for one of their TVs back in about '74. :)
