Our schools have a no cologne, perfume policy to protect allergy suffers.
My brother's school has that policy. Apparently, some seventh grader who went there eight years ago was trying to go to her locker and walked through a cloud of Axe body spray that had been sprayed. They called 911 and she spent three days in the hospital. It is firmly imprinted on the principal's brain.

Went to Animal Kingdom today. I didn't feel great when the day began, but we had friends who moved to Jacksonville and who were here, but today was their last day. We'll probably see them in August, but I wanted to spend some time with them and didn't want to disappoint their 8-year-old, who latched on to me and talked my ear off. I felt good most of today, but then started dragging in the afternoon. I came back to the resort while my parents and their friends went to Epcot (we're at BWV). Came back and found out I was running a low grade fever (100.5). Well, that explains it.

I have absolutely no desire to leave my bed, but probably will drag myself to Epcot for our ADR. With nothing but my phone and MB. Then back and in either the hot tub or my bath tub, depending on how much energy I have. I feel lazy enough that I might take the boat to Epcot.

Planning on a very slow morning tomorrow.

So sorry. Even a low grade fever makes me feel off and lack energy.

My normal body temp is around 97.6, and I'll sometimes drop below 97 at night. I can feel if my body temp moves up to 98.5 pretty easily. Over 100 makes me not want to move. I had a fever several years ago of over 103 and felt like I was dying. It hit 104 at one point. Could not get out of bed, didn't even want to watch TV. Just slept and moaned.

I would think so. If not, I guess I'll be stuck. Real bummer...not.

There was an advisory on my flight, but not my parents', and plenty of flights put Tuesday if worse comes to worst. And if we can't get out Tuesday, Wednesday is no big deal because I have no classes Wednesdays.

Missing all the snow would actually be a blessing. Will a plow come and clear your driveway in your absence?

Blah though about bringing back all the stuff to the kitchen but it will be nice once all the stuff is back in place, you guys will enjoy it.

Wonder what kitty thought of the strangers in her home in your absence??? Does she get naughty when she is annoyed?
Not naughty per se. She gets unhappy, and whenever we get home, she'll let us know.

Last August, I got home and she was basically yelling at me. Then, I went to take a bath, and she insisted on following me into the bathroom. She meowed at me while I was in the tub, and if I shut the door or slid down into the tub, the meowing got louder. Eventually, the meowing got softer, sweeter, then, while I was still sitting in my bath tub, she started purring. Weirdest thing.

No "naughty" behavior, though. Using the litterbox, eating, and just hiding evidently. She's prpbably happy because her food and water are in my room, and the litterbox is in my bathroom. She can pretty mcuh stay in my bed all day if she wants.

I'm the same way as are my kids we run in the 97 range so when we hit normal, we are fighting something. When we hit 101 we are down for the count. I had my husband pass out on me multiple times as he ran fevers up in the 103-4 range multiple times. One time I woke to a bang in the middle of the night and he was in the bathroom doing what we all do there and passed out , hit the door with his face, top half of him in hallway and balance in the bathroom. I'm trying to see if I can get him conscious again and he groggy awakens and says Hi!

That is a pretty good kitty if all she does is tell you off when you return. When I come home from a day out of town or 2 weeks Walt sticks to me like glue. I've been his constant, so when I leave he gets discombobulated. We left our Golden's all the time. Usually in an very upscale kennel where there were pools and doggy ice cream treats. They always pulled me in the door when I dropped them off. Then they pulled me out the door when I picked them up. The last 2 week trip to Disney I hired someone to look in on them 4 x a day and feed the turtle. They did OK but the sitter (who knew them) said they were not their 100% happy dogs, but always happy to see her. Think when they were at the kennel they were not expecting me.

Their flight was full. I'm flying out about three hours before them. My suitcase will go with them, and I will just hang out at the airport until they get there. I'll take my carry-on with a spare set of clothes just in case. And then I go shopping in the airport. :D just kiddin'

Not really a bad idea. Got to say MCO has far more to offer as far as restaurants, shopping and nice places to sit than either ORD or MDW do here.

Nope, not a bit. The good thing is that somce it's just me, it'll be easier to find a seat on a plane. The only bad thing would be if I can't get out of here until Tuesday. Then I'll be here...by myself.

I'm sick though and unsure whether I'll make it out the door tomorrow, so I wouldn't mind an extended trip. I was thinking I was about due to be sick because I haven't been sick in months other than the ocassional cold (seriously, the only time I missed work and school was for my hand surgery; I went to my allergist for a check up when I realized I hadn't seen him in six months), but of course I get sick...now. :bored:

A day or two on your own isn't bad if you can go back to Disney if you can't get out, no matter which of their resorts you'd land at. Sometimes a little alone time isn't a bad thing.

Oy. Sure hope tomorrow is less painful.

May I recommend
lg_wine-78.jpg

It is a lovely Riesling. About $10 I first had it at Artist Point, thinking there I paid about $10 a glass vs bottle.

Thanks, Gabe! :)

I'm a fan of Rieslings, so thanks for the recommendation.
I actually drink more wine during the holidays than I do all year.
Looks like I may need to make a serious flip flop regarding my beer/wine intake ratio...! ;)
