The problem with using Ubber was 1. Lack of a working smartphone and 2. As a young woman, I don't feel safe taking Ubber by myself. My dad suggested Ubber as an option (my out-of-work uncle drives for them) but we discussed it and decided against it.
good point!, but you now got a nice shinny phone right?
btw, the thing I like about ubber is, you can see the people who drive (photos of them) and their scores.

That was a funny rant on many star wars websites..

Rey is the MAIN CHARACTER in the whole movie.. and all packages of Star Wars do not have a single REY figure.. nor any other female lead.
The whole "separation" of gender roles in toys is still annoying as hell... but thats how many Toy maker CEOs still think today.
Like cavemen of the 50's.. where misogyny was "normal" and the only place for women was the kitchen..

by the way, I recommend using ubber. We used it at Orlando and was very effective.. almost half the price of a normal MEARS cab.
The price difference was ridiculous.
I saw they are redoing the Star Wars Monopoly to include her. The set Santa brought for Christmas didn't have her so I said 30 years down the road maybe it'll be worth something.

That sounds so painful. I hope you don't have to have that done.
The nail is almost all loose, only the central inner part is still attached. and it painful to get hit in the nail (because its domed upwards.. hence the usage of bandaids).

Well see what the doc says :O

Me too. It's a different trip this time staying at the Hilton, instead of a Disney hotel. We are using our last points, so it's virtually "free", except for resort taxes. Airline is free too, with many saved miles.
nothing beats free!

I didn't even know I had cousins on my dad's side until I was a teenager. I thought my aunt and uncle were childless. Granted, my dad was an oops so his brother and sister were also more than 10 years older and then my dad was in his 40s when my brother and I were born and my cousins were all grown and had their own kids. But when my uncle died, we went to the funeral and that's where I found out I had cousins. When my grandfather died, I was only a year old, but my mom told me that dad and his siblings fought about EVERYTHING and my mom had gone over to help them clean the house and to cook so they could just worry about going through all the stuff, but my aunt in particular got really angry that she was there. She and my uncle were both divorced, so my dad was the only one who brought a spouse and my aunt decided it must be because my mom was trying to take a share for herself and insisted that my mom wasn't part of the family and needed to leave. She apologized to me later after my mom died, said she had just been so angry and that she got to know my mom better years later and she bitterly regretted how she had behaved then. But obviously I was too young to remember that funeral or anything, or that my aunt and uncle had children there. And when I was growing up, there were never any kids there for Thanksgiving and my dad never talked about having nieces or nephews or anything and when we'd go to my Aunt's or Uncle's house at Thanksgiving, it was just us, so I didn't know about the cousins until my uncle died. It was so weird to me because my mom was so close with all her cousins and they all lived in Illinois, but we KNEW them and visited them. My Uncle lived in the same town as me, and my aunt lived in the next one over, and I knew more about the relatives 1500 miles away than I did about the ones in my area. And I spent more time with my mom's family as we went there for several weeks every other year or so and I saw my dad's siblings one afternoon a year. I guess it just kind of depends on the family. But it's nice that you were welcomed when you went to that funeral. They must have missed you.

Like I said my Mom came from a family of 12, she did pick and choose which she had anything to do with. Most of them, the guys in particular produced very large families too, minus the youngest uncle 'cause he looked at his family and said I'm not doing this, lol.
My remaining Aunts & Uncles are spread between Indiana, Illinois and Arizona. I have cousins I have never met. I have over 40 first cousins and a couple of generations of more distant cousins. One of my cousins I knew through my early 20's I bumped into a few months ago. I knew I new him, he didn't know me. I paused and Said Tommy???? And he said Hi, asked how he was doing, wife and kids etc. His wife popped over and he said something I didn't hear. Finally she asked me how I knew Tom. (oh boy know that feeling) I said I was his cousin Gabe. The look on my cousins face, hilarious. I hadn't seen him in 30+ years but he looks just like his Dad.

I didn't see you there, what side were you sitting on?

I see you picked the thousand island dressing, I opted out for mustard and a side plate of pickles.

I wonder if we have that out here. The news has made a lot out of people being taken and assaulted ! I have no knowledge about them, I suspect they are no worse than taxis. Hubby is afraid to use them, we will be doing Mears. With the high cost.:(
