The worst thing is I'm beginning to think I won't be able to do my solo trip to WDW at the end of this month, as I'll probably need to deal with all this divorce carp instead. But, I'm talking with my lawyer tomorrow to see what he thinks. I could really use a break! Worst case scenario is I just need to postpone it for later this year.
Sending hugs your way. Hopefully you'll still be able to do WDW and get away from the carp.

(FYI, the lawyer with whom I live would say go, but different states, so...)

Also, saw Star Wars again with my friend last night. She lives an hour away, and spur-of-the-moment we decided to see it at around 8 pm, so since she has an hour commute home, she stayed over here. We were up until almost 2 am having a really in-depth conversation about Star Wars. Then today, we watched Star Trek...I have found a fellow nerd.:geek:

Yay! It's always nice to hang with a fellow nerd. And have sleepovers - I miss them. :D

Hopefully your ex won't try to pull some line like you're abandoning your kid. I could never leave mine at home and go by myself. I'd feel guilty the whole time.

We took plenty of road trips with the kiddos, starting from day one. All over Texas, but, usually not any longer than about 5 hours one way.
To the Texas coast and sack was always one of our longer ones. :)

While from a baby I flew to Cali with my Mom I only flew as a kid twice to Florida. We did as I said before 4 day car trips down to Southern Florida every spring. Freak'n torture and we were not strapped into a car seat like my toddler was. Funny, he fell asleep about 20 minutes outside of Cleveland. Figures. When I shipped the kids to her from about age 5 I put them on the plane and she met the plane. It is only non stops between Cleveland and here so it worked. We've done that with my niece too.

I'm sure that's exactly what he'll do, but that won't bother me so much. And since we took our daughter last summer, plus she'd be in school anyway, I wouldn't feel as guilty. I suppose if I postpone, though, I'll probably try to schedule it for right after school gets out, so she can join me.

I have around 20 Dumbos, I don't know how many elephants, plus Disney characters, cats, Disney cats, and even some dogs. Plus Disney Princess dolls on display (Rapunzel may join them...) and Star Wars stuff...I have a Rey poster coming that I'll probably get framed...Disney everywhere...
My daughter has a Finn poster taped up in her room. Santa brought it. :)

Dear Lord, I hope you have a very very large room.

Woof.

Yep, we were kinda' opposite in that regard.
The first 3 or so years in No Cal we flew back to Texas for our 3-week summer vacations.
After mom and pop bought the camper, we "flew" by the seat of our TSSFFs...!!! :joyfull: ;) As I've posted before, Lap belts only in the truck cab, and no aircon through the middle of Arizona and New Mexco's stretches if I-10. A lot of detours, 'cause they were were always dynamiting for the final route.
It was never torture for any of us kiddos. I'm the oldest of 4, and I can't remember one summer we didn't find ways to have a blast on the trip there, or back...! :)

Someday, hopefully...! :)
Space travel has always fascinated me. I'm old enough to remember the first moon landing.
And, as I've mentioned before, my pop worked at the Redstone Arsenal/Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama back in the mid '60's. I was very young at the time, but, I still remember visiting the rocket displays and such that were open to the public. As I've mentioned here before, my pop even attended a lecture/speech by Wernher Von Braun while he was working there...! :)

I remember a landing, maybe the first. I was in very early elementary school and they put us all in one classroom and wheeled in a TV on a cart and we all watched all squished together on the floor. I still have this Bank my Aunt gave me. I certain I didn't appreciate all that back then.

Very cool! :)

For the Apollo 11 landing (the first) you would have had to have been in school on July 20th 1969.
That's a lot of snow days to make up. ;)

Yep. Torture for us. No trip from IL to Florida should take 4 freak'n days. Usually 3 back home, amen.

Hmmm....not the first then. Maybe the next one??? Don't remember as much about the space stuff as the odd day we watched TV all together in a classroom. I also remember the day I forgot the 4Cents for my milk. Hated milk but for some reason when you can't have a carton you remember.
