Urg. I drove home in those winds yesterday - all the way from Indy. My fibit credited me with 83 flights of stairs while I was driving. Not looking forward to the sleet and freezing rain. They're saying that after the sleet we are going to get up to 8" of snow. Sounds like the "going home" commute is going to be rough for everyone... :(
I'm sorry you are getting this weather too. Stay in and stay safe!

I'm so glad that you got an upgraded model. Your outfit sounds so cute, I can't wait to see it! I would have gotten back to you sooner , but when hubby is ready to go to the store....it's time to GO!;)
The skirt is hanging for 48 hours then I'll hem it. I find letting things hang make the hem a bit more even. I have to go get a white cami or tank, I thought I had one. The bow is done and on a hair band.:) Next up a going out dress.

It is very scary out there. 65mph wind gusts. Ice, sleet and rain mix. Put on a coat and hat over jammies to take Walt out to get him down the stairs. Held tight onto his collar, same bringing him back in. He has not asked to go out again. He looked so sad with the ice pellets slapping him around.

Keep sending the good karma this way 'cause it isn't pretty.
Sympathy like. I hope the weather improves soon for you and Walt. Be safe! xoxo

Sympathy like. That storm sounds really bad. I'm almost feeling guilty about only getting brushed by it later tonight

My DD the one without 4 wheel drive was told to stay home and work from home today. Amen.

I'm in. But it is a bad day for this, so many companies do not give you your holiday pay if you are not there the day before and day after a holiday. Lots of people would have likely at least taken a personal day if this the first day after a holiday.

My rant of the day

From the Washington Post:
Radio Flyer sells a red scooter for boys and a pink scooter for girls. Both feature plastic handlebars, three wheels and a foot brake. Both weigh about five pounds.

The only significant difference is the price, a new report reveals. Target listed one for $24.99 and the other for $49.99.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
simple..

they order 300x times more red ones than pink ones, therefore the red ones are cheaper to order (mass produced) than girls's...

but in some cases.. its stupid.
like the shaving kits.. the "for women" being 2x the price of the male ones..

How does that work? I'd buy which ever was cheaper. For the price difference if it really needed to be pink sparkle I could just repaint it.
