A few more items on my bucket list see the new Soarin, check out the Frozen Norway and the new bar in AK. I'm going to try and do as many new things this trip as we can including all 3 mini golf courses and both water parks

I love the waterparks and the mini golf courses. My favorite remains Fantasica. Wide open, not squishy and challenging. As much as Winter Summer is wildly imagineered, it isn't a challenge, so many golfballs just go into the hole because they are pitched that way, to keep things moving. Great photo ops though. Summer was our Christmas Card one year.

Yea! Lucky you! The one rule I have for Christmas morning is nobody is to bother me during the Disney Parade. We can leave home shortly after it's over:)

The parade is on but that is about it. I'm not really a big fan anymore. For me it is way to spliced and diced and way too many commercial type segments. Just not the same anymore to me.

That sounds like so much fun! Seeing my father inlaw missed Thanksgiving and Christmas last year we're doing a formal dinner at their house

The year my Dad missed Thanksgiving and Christmas was overwhelming. Not cause he wasn't there it was trying to fit in traditions of the day and also go to the physical rehab center he was in. It was a long couple months.

Sadly that sounds about right. I've paid almost $30 to go from AKL to the Contemporary. I paid $23 to send my DS from POR to Disney College Housing which was on the other side of DTD. This is why many rent cars, I'm just not one of them. Or you can become a local:

$2 one way-I've known people who have taken Lynx from MCo to DTD and then Disney Bus to Swan and Dolphin if you are budget minded.

That is why the van is often better as it is shared, operated like the magical express. We started renting a towncar from Mears to take us to Uni and then Uni to Disney 'cause we would have to purchase 4 tickets on the shuttle for our family. Transportation is very expensive in Orlando.

Its quoting me 33 USD from Epcot to Univeral Studios o_O

I'm perfect for you guys, I sometimes snore.. but I'm deaf.. so once I'm KO.. I'm KO...

Well now that I've consolidated the gals that snore into the master bedroom we can move you into the vacated room. But I will put an amp in your room so if you start to snore it will be loud enough to wake you up. You would think with my hearing issues snoring wouldn't bother me so much. I built a wall of pillows around my Mom when we were in Cleveland. I swear the snoring rattles me and everything in the room.

I think I paid a little over $100 for the towncar from Uni Portifino to POR.

Why Epcot?
its right next to old key west...where I'm going to stay.

Speaking of old key west.
is there a boat service between downtown disney and OKW?
I notice it has a river connection and piers.
Same with POR.

also, considering how close OKW with Epcot is.. I wonder if the fireworks are visible from the 3rd or 2nd floor of OKW rooms next to bonnet creek parkway.

When the boys were younger we did more character meals and we never did a ts everyday or in DTD. Now that they're a bit older and we have a bit more time we can do some different ts and eat in DTD. It's hard to get a list we'll all be happy with. My dh and I are thinking about eating in Celebration one night at a Cuban place that gets excellent reviews.

I'd like to live in Celebration. We did lots of character meals too when they were small. I could never do one again and be at peace with that. We did so many 'cause I wouldn't stand in line to meet and greet. (often anyhow) As they aged we started to do 4 TS meals. Everyone picked one. Done. If weather or something had us doing another or so I picked. I did all the reservations, packing, boarding of dogs, etc. I got the bonus picks. ;)

I believe the boat service has been restored after construction lags to OKW, with a stop off at Saratoga Springs. I really do enjoy that boat ride. Remember a coat at night in January. It gets nippy and they will call it off it is too cold.

You will take a taxi from OKW though not Epcot right?

Its funny that Christmas feels more stressing than calming for a lot of people.
so much to cook, to prepare, to gift, to buy, to reserve...

I'm to that point now and in better shape than most Christmas weeks. Done with shopping days ago. Food bought or ordered, it is that dang wrapping I need to do and someone is always under foot. Some years I've locked myself in my room and haven't come out until it was done. Last year on Christmas Eve Day I gave everyone a pile and delegated.

Agree, better enjoy before its gone.
I'm also hoping to see the Osborne Lights, Soarin' (before it goes into refurb) and other things that are closing soon but dont remember right now.

If you have never seen Osborne Lights I'd arrange around that. While I don't love as much as the original version it is a fantastic show, not to be missed.

This is where I was last night

most probably yes, but I suppose we might move to DTD?
I dunno, just when the taxis hear "disney hotels". They seem to add 10 USD instantly to the bill :/
