So sorry you are going through this. Flying is bad enough , without the pre drama. We have trouble almost every time we fly. We book seats together, but we end up not sitting together. We check every flight to get this fixed. Such a mess. Do you remember the Seinfeld episode about "you can take the reservations, but you can't keep the reservations"? So true, and funny for the show

Just a heads up there are new security measures in the parks. There will be metal detectors and more serious bag searches, no costumes for those over 14 and no toy guns not even water guns.

I actually like snowboarding better. I did it for several years and then tried to go back to skiing, and it was sooo difficult.

Some are coming to that conclusion. Me not so much. I also didn't buy into the additional screening at the airport was just a random visual either. Or the dogs are there just for appearances.

I find it a hoot that some are pinning 3 major theme park resort corporations put this all together on the same-overnight because one person was caught with a gun trying to enter a Disney Park.

I tried to snowboard at one of our tiny mountain hills. It wasn't pretty.

@Songbird76 all we have to do is make it through the holidays in one piece and then it will almost be ADR time YEAAAAAAAAAAAA My last several trips were in June so I had to make ADRs in the middle of all the crazy. I'm thinking just after is better!

I wholeheartedly agree.

I genuinely miss the little kiosks at Epcot. The day of you could walk up to a screen and pick where you wanted to eat and make a normal reservation. Don't know what you've got until you have lost it. It was such a nice system.

I have never made it to Steamboat. Beaver, Vail, Breckenridge all owned by the same and I kinda went that way cause I liked that style. I fell in love with Aspen in the summer and returned for skiing there after. Have not done any of that in so many years.

It's a wild and crazy winter so far. Thanks to El Nino.

Me I kinda look at it as unpredictable weather. One year we have a milder winter and others like the last 5 years we have had more harse winters. Even in the 60's we had huge blizzards and a few winters with little snow. Sometimes I think we over analyze everything.

Interesting to say the least. So sad we have to resort to this. I did read that someone tried to bring a gun into MK. Guess that's why this is happening.

I really don't think that is the reason. This has happened for decades just like it has at the airports. But putting that out there as the reason makes people more comfortable overall that it was just a one time thing.

Longer. That equipment doesn't get manufactured and delivered to that many theme parks in a month.
