Another food pic! Although I started working on these too late, so DD only got a taste of the mashed potatoes. Plus I forgot to dot the pie with butter before adding the top crust, so I mangled it a bit trying to cram a few pieces underneath. Again, novice cook here!

Spent the morning making gingerbread people, snowpeople and trees with the kids. I think they did a marvellous job from start to finish. And we found an unbelievably delicious recipe for the dough. So nice and spiced. Check them out:

Good morning. My plans got a bit screwed up, my dh decided to come with us so a trip into 2 hardware stores was added to my list as was 2 craft fairs and 3 stores for my ds to find the perfect gift for one of his little friends. At least I didn't have to do the driving so I got some reading done LOL. My dh found almond M&Ms, who knew they even had those. I'm so glad to have packed a nice healthy lunch for us because we ate right before getting to the store with the good bagels and my dh did pass on those. Today is going to be quiet or else LOL Tree and house decorating for the men and I have a bunch of cooking to do. We're going to finally watch Tomorrowland as we're staying put today!!!!!! We all need a break so ketchup tomorrow xoxo

I was scratching my head wondering why it didnt work at first. Google recommends the far twice.
And it doesnt trigger the animation.

Now see I love Do They Know It's Christmas. It always makes me pause and think about the crazy commercialism in my part of the world in contrast to real need. But I never thought about the line you mentioned (Bono's line) that way before. I thought it was criticizing people for being selfish and thinking that way. I do see what you are saying.

I think that line is more related to the fact that most of us (or the targeted in the song) are privileged. It could be worse. You could be a young kid, homeless, dying of hunger in a wartorn country with noone to rely on .

I have a lot of flowers. A lot. Both Hummingbirds and Monarch butterflies now flock here. I had gone most of my life without seeing hummingbirds, now the little guys hang here frequently in the warm months. I do worry about the hummingbirds though since I also bred preying mantis' Those little buggers will swallow a hummingbird whole.

our place is usually filled with birds, insects and flowers by february.. even more than the photos I have shared..

in other news, I took more photos today. Had gone for a burger, and decided to stop to a small river (causeway that was then reinforced by concrete barriers to prevent floods). full of little animals and birds.
