Wow! Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends.

It's been a good 2000+ pages since my last visit. High school band director at a highly competitive marching band school = not a free minute from August until November. Been catching up with the family who I forgot I had for the past few weeks and finally am back to wdwmagic. Read the last few pages and am very glad to see that the more things might change, the more this crew stays the same. Good to see you all.

It really is. One of the best things in the world is to go out for a nice dinner with just him. We are going to a highly rated place with ten tables and ten creative items on the menu that change every ten days. We have wanted to go for years and are finally able to get there. So that makes it even more special.

Can't wait to read how this dinner went.

My mom always did stuffing from a box, which I preferred. My aunt made hers from scratch, but put way too much sage in it.
Green bean casserole has always been my favorite. My mom used to set it at the other end of the table to give others the chance to get some before I hogged it all.
As a kid I would try to pick all the fried onions off the green beans and eat them before the casserole made it to the table.

I'm having that issue too. What do you do for pain, if anything?
nothing.. I just taco myself in my bed.
Since I live in a town where in winter the coldest is 10 degrees Celsius.. its never that cold. so I rarely get the pain.
But when I was studying in Mexico city , the temps could go as low as -5C in the area I lived.
And I DID get the pain from time to time.

It was a very tumultuous year. There are some real issues and concerns going on with the head director (remember I'm just the assistant at the new school), but the kids pulled though and did a great job. We have such great kids! But, I'm quite glad to be out of marching band season and more in control of my own universe... 7 gigs for my jazz band in the next two months. That's where my passion is and I have a great group of kids willing to go with me!

More importantly...3 weeks until our next Disney visit. Another Xmas-New Year's week. Should be fun!

Thanks. My friends adult son just got his. He ordered his collectors toy from France and had it shipped here. I couldn't grasp what it was nor why he was so freak'n excited.
Well, I suppose when you're not a gamer.. you do not get the excitement.
I was pretty happy when I got my Collector's Edition of LEGACY OF THE VOID (Starcraft II expansion by Blizzard Entertainment)

But honestly, I was more happy with my Mass Effect 3 Garrus figurine.

Good to see you. Was just thinking we hadn't seen you in a while. Hope all went well with band. Prepare those kids, and then send some of them over our way for college. :joyfull:

Nothing has changed over here. Besides perhaps more cat pictures.

what? no.. lol XD
why would we make our hot chocolate spicy?? XD

What is called Mexican Hot Chocolate up here is actually a good drink

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 3 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 vanilla bean, split
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/4 teaspoon chile powder
I've seen the chile sub'd for cayenne pepper too.

Me, I am a bigger fan for Ghirardelli's Hot Drinking Chocolate. (also available online)
