This seems to be happening everywhere. We just experienced this recently.

In a previous job, I worked for a surgeon for about a year (hated the job). Anyway, part of the problem is that they don't hire enough people to do all the work (and I'm referring to everyone: doctors, nurses, techs, and all other general office staff). If you had any idea what goes on behind the scenes (i.e., the volume of work), you'd understand how things get miscommunicated and/or slip through the cracks. Depending upon the office or institution, it can be a toxic culture to work in. The burnout rate is high; I barely made it a year, before I quit that job.

No patient should have to wait a long time for an appointment, and information should be communicated correctly and in a timely fashion. Until the bean counters stop slicing budgets to the bone, continue to expect to wait in doctors' waiting rooms. Also, be an advocate for yourself; make sure you understand everything they're sharing with you. You're very intelligent and reliable, so I know you do that already. It's just a general suggestion I pass along to everyone I know.

I'm leery of the "bakeries" in supermarkets too. Even when it doesn't look prepackaged, it often is. They often take things out of bulk packaging and package it themselves and make it look like they make it there. And the cakes and things they do make are from a mix, with the icing coming in big buckets. Ick. And then they charge bakery prices often.

There's a few supermarkets near me that have wonderful, in-house bakeries. Guess I'm lucky.

I know, I was just bein' silly 'cause it actually looks kinda' small in the pic. :)
Which begs the question...how much we're they chargin' for 8-10 ounces of that nectar of the gods, or was it (by some crazy chance;)) a free sample...?! :cyclops:

No not a free sample! I wish though! ;) I am pretty sure most of the beers were around $3.75. A little expensive but I only had a few so it was worth the splurge.

I hoped to hit Tower of Terror one more time, but it was a 45-minute wait and I was getting hungry again. I headed back to Disneyland to see if I could get a table at Carnation Cafe (I wanted to compare their fried chicken with Plaza Inn's), but it was a 30-minute wait. So guess where I went instead? Plaza Inn, of course! No wait and this time the chicken tasted even yummier, especially with double mashed potatoes. :hungry: After dinner I checked out some shops (pics of merchandise below) on Main Street and then strolled out around 8:30pm. Definitely a great day! :joyfull:

Mugs for coffee (or whatever you wish to imbibe! :D)

Love all your pictures! Looks like you had a great day at Disneyland. You sure got a lot in. It all makes me excited for late December!
And I know I owe all of you some more WDW pictures. I will be posting for you this weekend.

Yah, an ice/heavy wet snow mix is tough to move, and dangerous to either walk or drive around in. I'm not a fan of that type of mix either. I like all the rest of snow types though!
That's the type of snow MD usually gets. We either get flurries and just a coating or wet and heavy. This is why MD basically shuts down after 2 inches of snow.

It's easier to get a lot in when you go solo! :D Even so, there was still a bunch I wanted to do. I'm planning to take DD next Wednesday, since she has that day off from school, and I'm sure it's gonna be crazy busy. I'll definitely need to have a plan in place in order to maximize our time. :geek:

It is fun to go solo. I enjoyed my solo trip to WDW and am looking forward to my March one. I do like going with hubby but it is nice to do what I want to do too!

This totally fit my 7th graders today! The last class of the day just couldn't grasp a very simple concept (it was solving a puzzle and they had to cross off letter to get a hidden message) and it was just frustrating.
I peer tutor, so I hear you. I sometimes feel like I explain the same thing 20 times before they get it. I also get the occasional student who expects that I'm going to do their work for them. I think they're surprised when not only do I not do work for them, but when I ask a question, I expect an answer, even that answer is "I don't know." I must be the most annoying tutor on the planet because I stare at them until they give me an answer. They are always surprised that they actually have to talk and answer questions. Not my regulars, but the newbies always are.

I love when I abandon my family and go in the parks just myself. The first year of Frozen, I spent the day at DHS by myself so I could cover all the Frozen stuff with no one complaining that we were doing nothing but Frozen and Star Tours (five times in between Frozen stuff). My brother likes it when we go off on our own as well. My mom says she feels like she's missing two appendages when that happens.:hilarious:

I know what you mean - I plan to go on Expedition Everest as many times as possible in January! That and Rock n Roller Coaster. :)

Hee hee . . . apparently you didn't hear about last year's record-breaking marathon snowstorms in the Boston and metropolitan areas, for weeks and weeks?! :) And yes, I still love the white stuff! :p

Oh I heard about it...and lived it! I'm just a few hours away from Boston. You seriously enjoy getting up at the crack of dawn to deal with snow every day? You are a rare breed!
