Bulletin!! Hubby just called for me to go downstairs, and he was standing at the front door with it open. He said, "Look!" OMG--it was SNOWING!!!!!! Wow! What a great day so far!! :joyfull: It was so weird -- the sun was out, the sky was dark gray and it was snowing!! HA! He was all freaked out, but I thought it was wonderful. Anyway, it just stopped a few minutes after it started, but what an unexpected treat on October 18th!
We got some of that carp here. I almost started to cry when I saw it. My dh wasn't so happy as he had to bring in all the vanity for the boy's bathroom while it was coming down.

On a yuckier note, I have had a migraine headache for three days. This hasn't happened in a very long time. Yesterday and Friday it lessened to a regular kind of headache for much of the day and would ramp up at dinner time. This morning, I woke up thinking it was gone but by lunch time it had come back with a vengeance...full strength. I can't sleep it off because every time I close my eyes I see a black spot pounding to the rhythm of my pulse. So for now, I am just laying back, browsing the boards, trying to relax. If it is still here tomorrow, I'm going to have to go to the clinic.
Sympathy like, I hope you're feeling better today. xoxo

It's slow but sure. I have good days and bad. Yesterday was bad and I took painkillers again (I avoid painkillers except for migraines and one week or so out of the month because I feel like I put so much medication into my body that I should minimize when possible), but today is better, although thinking I'm probably going to ice it and take painkiller again in a few. I think it's actually a good thing because where it now aches is a spot that was completely numb after the surgery, so now it's heeling, although I woke up middle of the night on Friday night and ripped off the brace because one of the numb spots felt like bee stings. After some ice and loosening the straps, I fell back asleep. Two more weeks until I go back to the doctor for it again.
Sympathy like. I hope things start to improve soon. Right now I want to wrap you in bubble wrap before you can leave your house xoxo

Unfortunately, the notion continues for some into college:in pain:.

Incidentally, what is it with middle schoolers and not wanting to shower? It's like pulling teeth with my brother.
My younger ds is quite good about showering and using deodorant as he sits next to a girl at all times for school activities:joyfull: Some of the boys haven't yet realized the girls get upset at the smell and a few smell bad just to gross out people.

When my brother was learning to talk, he would mispronounce an "s" as an "sh". So when, he would say the word sit...it didn't come out that way.:hilarious:
DS couldn't make the "sp" sound and said "st" instead..so instead of saying "Mag ik spelen" (May I play?) he said "Mag ik stelen?" (may I steal?") and when he asked for his pacifier (speen) he asked for a stone (steen).

Yes we did along with the other 2,000 people in the theater, I sang very quietly, some people belted out let it go. It was as much fun to watch and listen to the audience, but the historians were really funny, and their timing was great!
I need to study up on the lyrics to a few. I know Do you wanna build a snowman and Let it Go, because DD and I sing them together a lot, but the rest, I need to learn.

Scents were a big trigger for me, and can still give me minor headaches. I can't believe how many people douse themselves in perfumes and think it smells good. I have two co-workers that douse themselves in perfume and I can smell them before I see them, and it just lingers. And men and their after shave/cologne aren't much better.

My eyes burn if I'm around someone wearing strong perfume, so I obviously have some sort of allergy to it. Can't stand the smell of most perfumes on the market either. I don't mind if someone wears just a little "light" scent. Another thing about stronger perfume is that the people who wear it seem to get it on their clothing as well. We have a back room at work with coat racks. Last year, I remember there was a visitor who put a coat on the rack on top of other people's coats--everyone's coat under that just reeked of perfume. I had to send mine to the cleaners to get the stench out of it! :banghead:

Me too. I was just thinking about how much aging has affected me. I used to do stuff like this and never give it a thought, now, although I'm not particularly nervous, I am anxious about it. I'm sure once I get places I will be fine, just not as sure of myself as I once was. (so you can imagine how obnoxious I was at a younger age. :joyfull:)

If nothing else, this trip will boost your confidence even more, in many ways. You'll feel great while you're over there, and you'll feel great when you return. Sounds like a win-win to me!!
