Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
Men, I'm sure, think differently then women (except for me, because I am dead inside) but, I thought of it as a really wonderful time for them. The first real accomplishment in life and now a ticket (with no destination) to the rest of what life brings you. So, no real emotion other then happy for me. I have to admit that I did get a little verklempt at their weddings, but, that was probably because I was paying for it.
Yep, mine were tears of joy and pride. I did my job. We haven't done that wedding thing yet that will be interesting someday. Neither seem to be in a rush and are enjoying life. Nice Dad to pay for those weddings. I had a very large wedding and I payed for it myself.

Me too. I was just thinking about how much aging has affected me. I used to do stuff like this and never give it a thought, now, although I'm not particularly nervous, I am anxious about it. I'm sure once I get places I will be fine, just not as sure of myself as I once was. (so you can imagine how obnoxious I was at a younger age. :joyfull:)
Hubby and I feel the same way. We go to Disney because it's familiar . We don't have to find new things. And we know almost every inch of the World. It's comforting to return to something we know. We did traveling when younger, but I don't have the incentive to change. I'm sure showing my age in this respect. It's like Cheers, we like to be back "home".

What are they? They look like a traditional Dutch treat for New Years called Olie Bollen!
From the Disney Food Blog so you can see them better:

They were better than the pizza this last visit. They are called Zeppole. Italy’s answer to doughnuts, these light and airy fried bites are made with a rich dough that includes Ricotta Cheese. They’re so delish dipped into the rich Chocolate Sauce and Whipped Cream served on the side.

Working on an oral presentation with a PowerPoint on Spain, so looking at a lot of photos.

Disney should add Spain to Epcot, and maybe do a film. Seriously, Spain is gorgeous. I wanna go someday.

Me too. I would love to take a Disney cruise out of Barcelona and add a couple days on to explore Barcelona. One of my Spanish teachers was from there and she spoke highly of the city.

Barcelona would be amazing. As would Madrid. The Province I got assigned is Andalucía, which has a lot of Roman and Moorish influences. Sevilla, Córdoba, Málaga...they'd all be incredible. I mean, look:

Hmm...my best friend and I have talked of visiting Europe...and I speak Castellano (Spanish) so I could get around in most of Spain...in a few years maybe

Thats what we want to go too (my mother and me) via a cruise.
But we are pretty worried about the latest security mishaps of COSTA cruises.
I think we will have to pay a hefty sum for other cruise company like Disney or other higher end cruise line.

I've never done a cruise, but think that I would prefer to just take a two week trip and visit various parts of Spain. Probably Andalucía, Madrid, and Barcelona since those are the parts that would speak all or mostly Castellano (although they also speak Catalán in Barcelona).

That looks nice. Maybe you could go when you graduate, a present to yourself.
