What are they? They look like a traditional Dutch treat for New Years called Olie Bollen!I'm not a fan of those custard-ie things. Actually I'm not a fan of Italian desserts from Tiramisu, custards to Gelato.
Now these lovely things From Via Napoli are the exception. And for those who care, the Olive Garden now has their own versions of these that genuinely rival Via Napoli's on their dessert menu.

I looked up the Via Napoli menu and it looks like it's a ricotta cheese fritter, which olie bollen are not...they are just plain fried dough balls, but soooo good. I'd love to try these, though!I don't know but I want one
On another subject, @figmentfan423 , I thought I'd try to make a small attempt at eating a little healthier. So yesterday, I went to this place that has a farmer's market on the weekend. Figured I'd buy a bell pepper or a tomato or something, from a farm-fresh (perhaps organic?) stand. Well, I got there and it had shut down for the season. So I just wanted you to know that I tried. Drove over to Walgreens and bought a bag of M&M's instead.

I love bread and butter too! Any kind of bread, and real butter. That was one of the things I missed at AoA , they changed from having real butter available to smart blend. Those plant sterols are really bad for your joints. I was feeling the effects by the end of the trip. No more of that for me!
We are going to stay at the Downtown Hilton near Disney Springs, from the last day of January for 6 days, 7 nights. Are you going back to WDW in January? If so, when?
My dad's mother was also Blackfoot and have always said Native American. In Canada, we say Aboriginal.
I love that ride I have a few more pictures that I would like to share, I hope no one minds if I repeat some, I just can't remember what I posted.Me too.![]()
Men, I'm sure, think differently then women (except for me, because I am dead inside) but, I thought of it as a really wonderful time for them. The first real accomplishment in life and now a ticket (with no destination) to the rest of what life brings you. So, no real emotion other then happy for me. I have to admit that I did get a little verklempt at their weddings, but, that was probably because I was paying for it.Oh I feel for ya. Senior year for my 2nd kid her senior year was hard, with 5 years to go from my DS to my DD it didn't impact me as much with DS with such a long way to go yet. I wept at her graduation like I did with my DS preschool graduation as they sang Wings beneath my feet. My DS skipped his college graduation to take a position at Disney, that was kinda a rough decision. We all made a pilgramage to my DD college graduation, 3 generations. She graduated with honors, cords and all in the rain and none of use cared. It was her day.
It is indeed a rough time for us parents to watch them move to adulthood. Hugs. Has a college been decided yet?
How is your recovery going? I hope well.I don't normally watch any political dramas, but I would watch an episode if I could see my school there. I prefer crime dramas and the occasional drama, but never got into Good Wife, House of Cards, West Wing, etc. I watch NCIS: LA, Hawaii Five-0, Last Man Standing, Muppets, an ABC Family drama, an ABC Family comedy, and my two favorites: Once Upon a Time and Big Bang Theory.
Yes, we stayed on the Oasis of the Seas. A very nice ship. Lots to do and see.I think you just described the QUAMTUM class and the OASIS class of Royal Caribbean.
I hope you and Wifey are doing well. How is Pop? Getting stronger every day, I hope as with all of you. Thanks!
Yes, it's been quite the week.
And, yes. Diets are already being modified around here.
I had a Mediterranean tuna pita sandwich and some chunky potato salad (not the mustard or mayo kind) for lunch.
It was no rack of pork ribs, but, it was plenty good.
Good luck with getting those numbers under control.
It's not as fun sometimes, but, as we all know, future Disney trips, in good health, for many years to come is VERY important.![]()

I admire you for studying another language. Good for you. I also think @Cesar R M is awesome. He has worked hard to learn English, and I think he does a great job.
Thank you @ MR FERRET. I love it! Your halo is really, really shiny now! Where are my sunglasses?
